If anyone needs one and can get to the club for 9pm, there are apparently some tickets there on general sale.

I assume, but could be wrong as per, that any tickets not sold in person at the Grove are now available online?

I genuinely feel for clubs having to sort tickets out in such a short space of time (why couldn't the season be extended a week to allow the semi final and final to be played on successive weekends?), and ensuring fans who deserve tickets get them. All, of course, being organised by volunteers giving up their own time.

That being said, it doesn't mean we can't be critical of how it was organised. Yesterday could and should have gone a lot smoother.

I thought this yesterday. Why is it all rushed into 10 days from last game?
its fallen lucky as 2 matches the teams are not too far apart so supporters have a chance of making an away game. What if the likes of Lowestoft or Leiston had have made the play offs, would not have been fair at all on away fans from the likes of us or Telford to try and get time off at short notice to make such a long trip.

Why not finish the season on the Bank Holiday Monday. Play offs on following Saturday and the final either the Saturday after or the May Bank Holiday 2 days later ???

There has to be some logic to it. Is it financial and to cut costs by not having to pay another week or so if wages for any contracted players, maybe?

It’s exactly that. Clubs don’t want a drawn out season so they don’t have to keep paying wages.

It would finish on the same day.
Just means slotting in 1 extra weed night game to free up the last Saturday just for play offs

There may also be issues with County FA affiliations and possibly insurances expiring at the end of April too.
I could be wrong, though

I can see the logic.

In that case, why not add a couple more Tuesday fixtures into the league calendar, finish the season a week earlier and then allow teams the extra week for play-offs.

I guess us know-it-all fans would then moan about ridiculous mid-week trips and how the league have taken away valuable income from weekend fixtures and the increase in attendances that brings ;D

Clearly no easy answer. But I'd have thought there must be some compromise to allow a situation where clubs aren't rushing around with such a short turnaround. A nice problem to have, mind you.

Dare I even suggest we should find time for two legged semi-finals?
