Re: St Ives Updates
I have to confess I no longer know what is a decent point won or poor points lost. I was sure this morning that anything but a win against a relegation threatened team would see us lose ground to one, or most, of the teams around us. Admittedly, both Telford and Bedford had very tricky games, yet I suspect they too will see the draws as points lost. The ever imploding Kettering will probably now see their point against second bottom Hitchen as a point gained with two very late goals. I have absolutely no clue whatsoever as to what is a 'good' result anymore, it's just going to be a fascinating finish and to see who stumbles over the line.

Will take 1pt due to the red card but it's certainly 2 dropped pts and st ives 1st home clean sheet of the season. We are as we are and on to next Saturday. Strange old league this is

Sorry, but if we still had Ponts, (a pointless move by the way )we'd be out of sight by now. KD can't do it all by himself.
Surely a win v Barwell should secure a playoff spot

I wasn't there today but was it ill-discipline that really cost us , especially so early on in the game?
I don't think our overall record for cards is very good this season.

Foul on the last man. Thin margins though. Just an inch or so made the difference between a world class tackle and a red card

8 red cards this season. Difficult to overcome that really.

Re: St Ives Updates
We need zero red cards in the final 4, 5 or 6 matches now

True, but not all red cards are equal. We've had some from loss of discipline this season but yesterday's wasn't one of those. I heard some people saying Wynter could have got back to cover. I'm not sure about that but it was just one of those things.

Willets had a hack, cleared him out, last man.
Mission accomplished, but red card all day long.

I agree. I thought definite red too when it happened. I was just making the point that it didn't fall into the Yussuf category of red card, for example.piearce9 wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025, 17:57Manning had a hack at him, missed.Brightgoldenhaze wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025, 14:36True, but not all red cards are equal.
