My original tip for the top were Kettering but even though they are top I'm not so sure they'll stay there. Telford could take some shifting but I remain confident that we could also get there - why not. Lots of pressure on teams right now so let's see who handles it the best. I really fancy us for a top five finish and that would represent a great season.

IF we can get 3 points abd those other fixtures taking place could give us a little cushion and put pressure on others.

Notice Harborough got all top teams to play. They could be dark horses should they put a run together

Not at all. Imagine Solihull Motors and their former year's. The club higher up the pyramid becomes the new clubs position in the pyramid. I'd also say that it's a little way off from being confirmed

Just to add my unwelcome twopenneth on everything....

I must admit I'm not "down with the rules" but my understanding of the Bedford situation was that, if they merge, they have to take the place of the lower placed side, which I presume is to stop teams using mergers to climb the ladder? With Real Bedford top of Step Four, and looking likely (but not certain) to go up to Step Three, then the suggestion was that a merger would make any of Bedford Town's promotion aspirations irrelevant. That all said - the last I've heard on the situation (from a concerned but well-informed Bedford Town supporter) was that the deal was some way off being done.

Also - run-ins. Not sure how Harborough have got all the big sides - they've got us and Bedford (both at home?) and then the rest are quite amicable. They're also right on everyone's tail so I'd be very surprised if they don't have a 43rd game this season.

Stratford and Kettering have arguably the easiest run-ins, but they are the two teams with form wobbles. Not really sure if Stratford have the appetite to go up. Stamford's run-in is the toughest of all, and they are quite threadbare with injuries, so they'll have to do well to stay in the mix.

I would say that Telford are the team to beat. They have us and Kettering in their two big games. Apparently they still aren't firing but seem to be picking up enough points when it matters.

For us, I'd say the game at Harborough is the big one (for now). As long as we can stay within three points of Telford then we have that blockbuster game on Easter Monday to try and turn the tables.

It's all extremely exciting but, to stick to the party line, it's one game at a time and we have an important game on Saturday to focus on for now.
