I actually thought they played better with 10, but then they had to try and get something out of it I suppose.
I think (?!) - assuming I have the right Biggleswade out of the eighteen teams that play there - that they came back from 3-0 down at Coleshill last week, hence their energy to retrieve the ball from the net at 3-1.

I agree with Russ’s comments about getting the game on - we just needed to tick this one off today, even though it was going to be a tricky one. Thought we controlled the game well, despite a few silly yellows towards the end.

Pitch was excellent, considering the non-stop rain. Aren’t we lucky to have such great facilities at The Grove now - makes a huge difference.

Mitchell a very worth MoM.

Onto the derby!

Yes, definitely. These very silly bookings we keep picking up are eventually going to cost us. It needs to be sorted ASAP.

Were all the challenges worthy of bookings, except for Platt being stupid again, I think not , but when you have such a card wielding officious ref, it happens. I think that most of our bookings would be recinded on appeal.

Our booking were for time wasting and the handball for the penalty. None for any challenges

Their Pen. - stood at back of shed to the right of goal looking towards s*£%&bridge road end. Saw the ball.blasted in from Biggleswade and the pen given - I assume it hit wynter. Decent shout as he moved his arm etc or unlucky? Could see from my vantage point. Thought we had a decent shout for them handling ball 30secs before. Anybody else have a clear view and can comment. Decent performance in not great conditions. Ref was pernickety and on another day another ref might have just spoken to platty and parker as to timewasting - we have seen plenty like this from opposing sides when running down the clock going unpunished. Doesn't make it right but highlights inconsistent standards - had thought parker was hard done by as I thought he held up due to encroaching Biggleswade player at restart so just held up until.player back own half. Up the yeltz

In which case Rich , why was n't their goalkeeper booked for timewasting on two occasions and feigning injury with Emergency Ward 10 performances ? The other thing is that his two life threatening injuries took up more than 6 minutes yet only 4 minutes were added.

The penalty was given against Wollacott but Wynter was booked, presumably for pointing out that he his colleague had the ball smashed at him from two yards away, and couldn’t have done much about it.

Perhaps the players have got the winning mentality that I lack (or perhaps a hefty clean sheet bonus) but they all seemed quite het up about it, whereas I think most of us saw it as a consolation goal and little else.

I guess if youre being done over in the heat of battle, youre gonna be peed off. As Ken said, he was over officious. That said, some of their challenges were late. That said, I dont think they were a particularly dirty team.
