Re: Sudbury Updates
In one way, it would work out better for them to miss the Trophy game and be back for the league in a fortnight

Re: Sudbury Updates
Easily our best performance of the season for me.
Even after going behind we kept our shape and constantly attacked.
Thought every player made a great contribution today with no weak links. Mitchell was stand out player for me, thought he had best game Ive seen from him.
Credit to gaffer for keeping 2 up front and not shutting up shop when Mini sent off.
A 'free hit'next week then back to keeping this run going.
Well done lads

Re: Sudbury Updates
Totally agree Rich… great performance and fabulous result and yes Mitchell was my stand out player today…. Shame about the two sending off’s whatever about manning, two tackles that could have been or not been given as yellow, but KD has got to grow up and concentrate on playing football…. Stupid sending off, for no reason!!! He’s having a great season and needs to get clued up a bit on the aggro …. Because he will miss a lot more games throughout the season and we can’t afford to be without him… just concentrate on the football, you’re good at that ….. What is going on with Yousef ? On twice as much £££ as most of the team and can’t get a start even off the bench….. surely needs to be offloaded in some shape or form to free up money to bring in another couple of CAPABLE players…. Well done today , great game and result .

Re: Sudbury Updates
Great to see the buzz back around the ground. Brilliant atmosphere and hats off to the Shed end, never stopped all game and that definitely makes a difference.
But on the pitch I think we look a lot fitter, sharper and more professional than ever before. The squad looks to have better depth now and Russ always looks angry (passion/down to business look) which can only be a good thing, right?
That was a tough week, 3 games, seven days, an 8 hour midweek road trip, red cards and the boys still scored in the 90th minute. Last season we'd have lost 2 out of those 3 games. Exciting times ahead I reckon, those Bedford and Hitchin games now a foggy memory

Re: Sudbury Updates
Just to add what everyone has mentioned, I thought we were superb yesterday, after a sluggish start. Cant think of one player that didnt put a shift in. Tee, Ponticelli were outstanding.
I dont expect us to perform like that every week, but IF we do, we'll do well. There is a sign, since Ponticelli's arrival, that we arent frightened to attack rather than lump it up. What a difference he has made.

And a player that is prepared to try and create a chance out of nothing. It's great to see.

Yup. Plays deep, plays it forwards, holds it, makes space. What a player.

Re: Sudbury Updates
Great result yesterday, thought it was sloppy of Manning to get the second yellow. Not the first time he’s been sent off IIRC.
Thought the substitution of Ceesay was the game changer. We were dropping deeper and deeper after the sending off and he really put himself about and I’m sure it was a challenge he made tackling back that led to the third goal.
