Change to a back 4 seemed to help the balance, and also having someone else alongside KD to put pressure on the defence. Also helped that the Redditch keeper was making his debut, and was a bit shaky.

I thought the defence looked solid. Wynter was eaaily back to his best. Hickman also played very well. Constantly looking to drive forwards and some good crosses in too.

Don’t be fooled by the result today…. Will take a win every day of the week , but that result flattered us today…. Two teams who consistently hoofed the ball up the pitch, most of the time not even in the direction of a player, in our case, just hoping that it might come to something??? Previous post about beautiful, on the deck football….must have been doing a headstand for about eighty minutes !!! On the odd occasion that we actually strung a few passes together, we did look ok…. So why don’t we try doing this more often…. Ponticheli looks ok , puts in effort and brings other players into the game, far better than previous strike force, one of whom couldn’t even be bothered to get his backside off the subs bench at halftime and warm up a little….. How much a week ££££ ?
Take the result on to next week and hopefully the momentum from the win…. We’ve really got to start playing football….

Great result yesterday.
OK sounds like performance not great but a win to get the confidence going and some game time for our striker to gel with the team
I presume the draw for the next round is Monday lunch time??

Great result and a good one to build on. New system seemed to work well. Ponticelli is bang on the money - makes all the difference.

Redditch were calamitous at the back and that probably helped as well.

Speaking to Flanagan (centre half) after the match he said Pontcelli was an absolute nightmare to mark

I saw this the other day and wondered if Tim had let something slip that he shouldn't have and assumed by "Russ" he meant Russ Penn.

Always think Flowers is an excellent inteview, both when he was with Bromsgrove and now at Redditch.

Wow, a long interview.

More importantly though, how did they manage to fill just half of the room with Helium?

Also, he starts sentences with, "Listen,..." 7 million and 12 times.
A particular bugbear.

I would be like me going, read, we did well to beat Redditch, read, I hope we don't draw them again, read, onwards to the next round, read, something, something, Alan Attwood.
