We have some good players signed this Summer
Have we? Can you tell me who and where they are because I haven't seen any of them on the pitch. (Except for Nat Kelly).

Wollacott looks like a fish out of water. We've signed him and let Redfern and Taylor go both of whom are far better players.

Flanagan replacing Heyward surely has got to be the biggest piss take in years.

I can understand why Gregory was moved on but I'd hardly say his replacements are any better.

Let's not forget either releasing Jack Holmes, I wonder where he is now?

I'm also baffled by our tactics, how can a six man midfield be so consistently overun

So we got rid of a manager everyone (90%) of fans wanted to see the back of, despite incredible cup runs and league positions, we replaced him with a bloke everyone (90%) of fans lorded as a brilliant replacement/manager.....and now - what? He ain't got a clue.
Remember I quoted clubs like Charlton on here, curbishly was great until he was shite, get rid of him, they never recovered.
Fans are so so frigging fickle it's untrue

Your ideas are intriguing to me, and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

But honestly what's done is done (I'd argue against your percentages btw) and who knows where things will go in the months ahead. Non-league is ridiculously fluid.

I'm ashamed to enjoy the schadenfreude of the twitter comments about "have we reduced our budget?" considering ultimately everyone here wants the same thing but still, the ironing is delicious.

Fella. I really dont have the inclination or answers for why, ifs or but. If you want pick a school yard argument look elsewhere. Likewise I told you so's dont interest me. Because I wont be doing the same to you or Yeltzbaby if things change. Ive given my thoughts. Disagree if you wish. I dont really care. Now if you dont mind im up at half 5 in the real world. Go point fingers elsewhere.

I never compared them to last seasons players and as I said I have only seen 1 friendly and yesterday.

I thought Wollacott did ok, unlucky not to score and good in the air at the back.
Flanagan didnt play in the friendly and injured yesterday (hope makes speedy recovery).
Thought Cassidy did well second half with some driving runs and tried to add some speed to our slow build up.
Tee ok in patches but seemed to be in and out the game.
Could argue Yussuf improvement as last year no one would have been on the end of that cross to score with a header.

As I said Hayward leaving was big mistake to me and also Eze.
Still early days if we can get some new faces in but still feel a couple of players on that pitch at the end are not up to the level required.
Alos I dont think KD is an out and out forward. Was getting very frustrated towards the end and Im sure thats to do wiht his lack of involvement and getting up and down the pitch. We dont need him losing it and getting sent off.

It was a hard watch. But I’m holding back on judgement as I feel (bloody hope) that the squads not finished yet. Why it wasn’t somewhere near complete 3 weeks ago I’ll never know.

Todd Parker is an interesting one. You can tell he is ex PL academy. Clearly a pure footballer but spent most of his time vainly asking the back four to pass to him rather than lump it.

Nobody else seems able to put foot on the ball at all. Sadly Parker seems to be a luxury player. Happens to a lot of ex academy players at this level. Almost a different sport they are brought up to play in academies.

Hope I am wrong hut suspect he won't have the physicality to do well here.

Is there anyone any good in our squad. Thought during preseason we were 'looking good' 'coming along nicely' 'Russ is putting together a good squad - much better than last seasons'. Now one away draw and a home defeat, it's end of the world time again. Reading this is entertaining to say the least. A wave of optimism gone in the blink of an eye.
Just one win and we will be promotion favourites again - such is life

Very accurate post that. I follow St Johnstone as well and exactly the same sort of things follow defeats. I guess its always been that way. Its just exaggerated by social media for all to see. As I said 3 games in. Its fair to post "crap performance", but some "end of the world stuff" is OTT. Especially so soon.
