I wish I'd got a pound for every time that sentence was printed over their playing career.

1980/81
Steve Mole
Ian Beasley/Beazley (I've seen it spelt both ways)
Gerry Bates is also required, however I saw another source that said his name was B. Bates so I'm unsure which is correct.

1981/82
Glendon Sharpe

Re: Database - spreadsheets
No worries, and if I can find anymore I'll post them. Gerry Bates looks to be correct btw as I found a couple of lineups in programmes listing a G. Bates, so that B. Bates has to have been a typo.

I think you'll find Matt Nelson is Malcolm Hazelwood.

Re: Database - spreadsheets
Unfortunately, the Sports Argus ceased to exist many a year ago, otherwise I'd be certain to let them know of their mistake.
Barnsley, the goalkeeper, who played the solitary match in 1985/6 is almost certainly Geoff Barnsley, who signed for Stourbr*dge ahead of season 86/7. He had been playing for Solihull during 85/6 and was most likely a last minute loan/emegency signing for that last game of the season, on 16th May, after Solihull's season finished.

Re: Database - spreadsheets
This might be quite silly but would it be the same Geoff barnsley as on this Wikipedia? Would put him straight to the top of the oldest players, but goalkeepers do play older
