But havent played them yet. I'll make my judgements then. I get where you're heading but lets see how it pans out.

It also means we have lost 4 out of 16, whereas we only lost 5 in total last season, although admittedly we had a number of draws.

Re: Stamford updates.
The problem in this league is that the teams you'd expect to beat are most often duly beaten by all the top teams.
Therefore the key is the games against the top teams and we've been found wanting so far losing against the others in the top 4.
Even at this stage of the season it will be hard to catch Stamford, and Spalding still haven't lost a match.

Re: Stamford updates.
Are we just too pretty and lightweight all over the pitch
Cant see aggression or physicality anywhere we need some no nonsense players and some height to mix it up a bit more
A striker is needed and another centre midfielder in my opinion
We just seem to get bullied out of games and surrender too easily for my liking theres only birch who really gets stuck in and has that nastiness about him

Simply this. It's the same each year.juanillo wrote: ↑19 Nov 2022, 17:32The problem in this league is that the teams you'd expect to beat are most often duly beaten by all the top teams.

It's bloody hard to get out of any division when only the champions go up automatically. I think we'll fall a bit short as well, but looking on the bright side, the other top teams have all got to come to us and we've got a 100% home record. Those two things might be connected though...andy wrote: ↑19 Nov 2022, 18:08Simply this. Re: Stamford updates.
I don't know what to say. The evidence is there- we don't win the big games. I think there is a lot of hyperbole and people getting carried away ('we need this; we need that'), but simply, we need to stop conceding goals. I don't buy the doom mongers' certainty that we won't go up, but equally, I couldn't claim to be confident this evening.
Always the bloody same.
Always the bloody same.

Can somebody tell me, why oh why do we persist in playing long balls to a forward line who are no taller than 5 foot?
Thanks in advance
