Also who decides which matches can be changed. One team may not want it. There are no television paymasters buying off the league at our level, so the league won't demand it. A good number of fans still work Saturday mornings as well so it wouldn't go down well with them. I appreciate clubs want to cut costs and save money but everything to do with traditional football is already changing so much. Many people are turning their backs on the pro game already, it's one of the reasons our gate is swelling. And to be honest about Yaxley, if only 48 people want to watch it, maybe they should be playing in a Saturday morning parks league anyway.

Having spoken to Karen some months back, re: the energy cost of our floodlights, I was assured that plans are afoot to replace the conventional bulbs with LED lamps which will greatly reduce costs.
