Re: Daventry
Better second half, but the inability to take clear cut chances is a problem.

Re: Daventry
Evo has been outstanding, again. Running away with player of the season.

Re: Daventry
Might be wrong, but strikes me that this team is playing with almost no confidence. There is no swagger or strut and accordingly we’re labouring to narrow wins against junk sides. That said, results broke for us a little today and it’s six from the last six.

Re: Daventry
Rob Evans always looking to get us on the front foot agreed with AwayDayYeltz player of the season by far!
A win is a win and hopefully we look back on this victory as a hard fought win that allows us to kick on?
By the way how COLD was it

Re: Daventry
Labouring is a good word to describe us. We are making hard work with the season. I don't feel confident we have what it takes to get promoted as things stand. I just don't feel the squad is as balanced as it needs to be, and I believe the players that have left (Ashmore, Bowen, Montel, Bunn, Parsons, Sammonds) have not been replaced adequately.fairweatherfan wrote: ↑04 Dec 2021, 17:17Might be wrong, but strikes me that this team is playing with almost no confidence. We need to solve the issue of taking our chances, which could've cost us dear today. Daventry almost nicked an equaliser right at the death, when they should've been out of sight.
The last two games, v Histon (19th) and v Daventry (17th) have been very underwhelming. Should we be beating these teams more convincingly? If so, why aren't we? Something just isn't right with the team at this moment in time, and performances are reflecting this.
I know you don't get any more points if you win by 5 or 6-0, but I expect better from us, than what we've shown for large parts of the season.
For all the above negativity (realism?), we remain in a healthy position, league wise. Although there's a lot of work ahead, and we must improve a great deal, if we are to win promotion this season.
I'm really not sure how to feel. On one hand, I feel deflated, as I feel like we're moving backwards, on the other, we're in a decent enough position. It's just all very 'meh'.
Unless I'm just being a miserable bastard?
Right, I'm off for a few pints, and to try and find my tinky winky, after freezing for 90 mins.
