Micelover ,and the Dudley games left me just as if not more fustrated. Still think cunnington should of gone. Just not sure if we got the right replacementmisterbates wrote:For those who didn't witness this afternoon, yes - it really was that bad.
Clueless.
As bad as any M**s*n team, and a huge slide downhill from what Cunnington left behind.
Still, I must be in the minority. Those who called for Cunnington to go must be absolutely delighted with what we're seeing now................

Re: RMW
Cunningham was right to leave. Two wrongs do not make a right. Positives not our normal goal keepet, it did not rain. Why have so many management and coaches? Does this cause confusion? The talk has been the replacement playets are worse than what they replaced. Calmed down since match think today was there first game together. Big decision may have to be made by owner if we continue Hills poor stairt and lose the next two games

Terrible performance, apparent lack of commitment, inept defence etc, but by far the most shocking thing today was the fact that SOME (and they will remain nameless) Yeltz fans actually stated they think it is ok to put Mayo on a cheese sandwich, the same individuals also believe it acceptable to put the same dressing on a BACON sarnie!!!
I left the Grove today bewildered and questioning the kind of people I mix with on the terraces.

I bet the same people put anything but brown sauce on a sausage sandwich, life can be very difficult living alongside some people, eh Zee?ZeeZee wrote:Terrible performance, apparent lack of commitment, inept defence etc, but by far the most shocking thing today was the fact that SOME (and they will remain nameless) Yeltz fans actually stated they think it is ok to put Mayo on a cheese sandwich, the same individuals also believe it acceptable to put the same dressing on a BACON sarnie!!!

Re: RMW
as our local MP was at the match yesterday its upsetting to think he may have heard the talk of bacon/mayo..what will he think of us?....he would, of course, expect HP sauce!ZeeZee wrote:Terrible performance, apparent lack of commitment, inept defence etc, but by far the most shocking thing today was the fact that SOME (and they will remain nameless) Yeltz fans actually stated they think it is ok to put Mayo on a cheese sandwich, the same individuals also believe it acceptable to put the same dressing on a BACON sarnie!!!

On the question of which sauce on the sausage sandwich (as portrayed so eloquently by Danny Baker) the complicating factor is the quality of the sausage.I bet the same people put anything but brown sauce on a sausage sandwich, life can be very difficult living alongside some people, eh Zee?
If an inferior sausage, then the only option is brown sauce, but if it is a superior sausage* then the use of brown sauce is over-ridden by the need to let the flavour resonate meaning that in such circumstances, the no-sauce option is perfectly valid, in fact almost mandatory
As for the match yesterday, it seems that should be glad that I missed it.
* Herbie variety from Bowkett's comes to mind, their Black Pudding sausage is also excellent but it is a little stongly flavoured for sandwich use although it sits excellently on the breakfast plate

Re: RMW
Well there was no mayo on our number eight Danny Bacon!
First of all on behalf of those who came from Rainworth yesterday may I thank Halesowen Town for your excellent hospitality, the friendly welcome we received, and the sporting commentsof your fans and officials after the match. I must admit we were on a bit of a high, because we arrived having no away points on the board at all and only one away league goal scored.
But I can tell you we have played better than that and lost, and we have played poorer sides than Halesowen and lost. You are by no means the worst team we have played, but let's be honest, your otherwise decent performance was marred by one or two individual howlers which effectively gifted us the win.
And you had some bad luck at times too like when your guy was through on goal and the ref called play back for a head injury to one of your players. Shame your lad's 'words of advice' to the referee were not expressed in milder terms though, the ref had no option, especially since it happened right under the assessor's nose and would probably have been heard in Stourbr*dge, silly lad! But when you got a goal back straight after and almost scored a second in the 89th we were sweating a bit that we were going to blow it.
I'm on the outside looking in, but I would say give your new manager a chance. He's new, some of your players are new, you had a few missing. You haven't become a bad side overnight, it's a blip and you will come out of it.
Your NLP reporter gave the match 4 out of 5 for entertainment so it wasn't that bad, and for anyone but a home supporter that was about right.
We at Rainworth still have to pinch ourselves to make sure our little village team really is rubbing shoulders with massive clubs like our last three opponents - Northwich, Lynn and Yeltz.
We enjoyed our visit, the welcome we received meant we would have enjoyed it what ever the result. Good luck for the rest of the season (except of course...) and we assure you of a warm welcome to Nottinghamshire when you visit for the return.
Best regards
Gordon

Have to agree 100% with Noggin on the sausage front. A class sausage should not necessarily need any brown sauce (I should add here for impartiallity that no other colour of sauce is needed either, i dont want to be lumped in with John Terry on a flavoured condiment level), but if an inferior sausage REALLY needs sauce it should probably be avoided altogether. Bacon... now thats a different matter. Even the crispiest piece of lean best back can be taken to a higher level still with a dollop of HP's finest. I'm not even prepared to hear an argument forwarding the case of Daddies (even if it does treat its employees better), it simply does not cut the mustard. Well i suppose it wouldn't though. It's sauce....
What was this thread about? Oh yes, yesterday. F***in' CLUELESS.
