Pre season friendly!
We’re playing at Rocester a week on Saturday (Aug 1) at 3pm
Behind closed doors of course, but very good news that things are starting up again

Remember them in a Vase game many moons ago. Think it was played at Leek. Horrible experience from what I remember.?

1984. All fans of a certain age still shudder at the mention.

D’Oh. Of course. 1984, Denaby Main. Shudders
Not too bad though that we can remember only two badduns from that 5/6 year period.
(My therapist still won’t let me talk about VS).

Re: Pre season friendly!
I often think Denaby was 1984 as it was the only non-Wembley year in four between 83 & 86 but continuing the pedantry it was New Year's Eve 1983.
I've recently bought the excellent book The Cemetery End which is about football grounds and stands, league & non-league, that have been lost over 25 years period. Denaby is in there and a surprisingly good number of other that I've visited.
