Re: League null and void
The FA have decreed that for Steps 3-7 the season be expunged - it never happened.
However, following their usual form line of double standards and lust for money, they have stated that:
All disciplinary fines must be paid.
No fines already paid will be refunded.
All pending suspensions will be served at the start of a new season.
Self serving b*s*ards!

Re: League null and void
In fairness, that is the same logic as an abandoned match. Bookings count, goal do not. In a null season, transgressions have been carried forward, achievements have not

Couldn't have put it better Lutley.
And don't forget the FA will still be hankering for their cut of Trophy Final money as you have just caught us all up.

An example of people involved in clubs foisting their personal opinions about gambling resulting in revenue loss. I realise what misery gambling can cause but sponsoring our league is hardly going to encourage non gamblers. I haven’t got a garage full of unwanted Evostick products because they sponsored the league.lutleyyeltz wrote: ↑12 Apr 2020, 08:05https://www.betvictoristhmian.co.uk/bet ... -end-61808
Not exactly on thread, but of some interest.

Re: League null and void
I'll read it properly when I've stopped pretending to work, but looks largely like a pro forma copy/paste job done by some lawyers in Leeds, rather something specific that we've done alone.
The excellent @Ollie_Bayliss on Twitter says that South Shields and Hastings have sent similar to their leagues and it's a reasonable guess that others have too.
Or maybe not? Either way, interesting pressure applied.

Re: League null and void
OK, read it. Asking a lot of questions about why decisions were made, which as a member club we have the right to ask.
However, from the way the Southern League's constitution seems to be written, as evidenced by, "It is understood that the business and affairs of the Southern League shall be managed by the directors" in point 4, it also looks like they have the right to answer our questions with, "Because we did".
And, I love the wording of the "unique and invidious position" that we find ourselves in re the Trophy. Hahahahaha. F*cking lawyers.
