Guess we'll just have to concentrate on the League
I seem to say that earlier every year nowadays.

Re: FA Cup Dudley Town
What did anyone expect with the same manager who proved last year that he was and is not up to the job.
Griffin still has splinters in his backside from the Stourbr*dge bench done nothing.
Tatics hoof the ball and hope poor Ben Haseley can get to it where ever it is or it bounces of Jone's Belly back to our midfield or further. No wingers so Ben Haseley has to play out wide when he should be in the centre trying for goal.
Words of the manager
" we need to win at home and pick up what we can away"
" Stick with the same starting line up they have not played many games together"
He had all last season and complete close season where players were falling at his feet to play for us.
MANAGER OUT OUT.

There's going to be an awful lot of concentration needed - because we're going to struggle to avoid relegation and be on the end of a few "hammerings" on the way!Westyeltz wrote:Guess we'll just have to concentrate on the League![]()

This is the manager's team and he, and he alone, has to take responsibility for the quality of players recruited and for the tactics employed.

We are just not good enough and the outlook is bleak. I personally question whether it is worth bothering anymore - loyalty is one thing, stupidity is another.
Sort it out, if you can

[Sort it out, if you can,
Mr Cunnington because the performance today was a disgrace.[/quote]
Agreed - after the game last Saturday and today's I have real concerns for this season along with many other fans.
Today we only had ourselves to blame with the chances we missed second half - Ben Steane's was a shocker.
Good luck to Dudley - they rode their luck and came away with the result - financially this is a disaster.
I do not want to single out players but clearly the subs that came on to replace Jones and Griffin two weeks running are much better players and should start against Sutton. I bet Ben Haseley is wondering why he has committed to us
I for one will not be there against Sutton - I have better things to do on a bank holiday than watch that rubbish and pay £8 for it !

Re: FA Cup Dudley Town
I'd like to take up the issue with one fan who paid his £8 and told the players as they were walking off at full-time that they were "shit" and then one of the players, namely MILLIGAN, replying if he'd like to discuss that in the bar after.
How dare he - I saw none of the Yeltz running their arses off today (except Haseley) and comitting to the club in an FA cup tie. That prick Milligan should have come to the bar to see ME.
Suffice to say the chairman came over and told said fan that there's a time & place to say things to the players: WHAT? So you can't say anything to that shower of shite as they walk off the pitch after you've paid your hard-earned money to watch that, what, drivel(?) with 3 shots on goal without some hierarchy having a pop later in the bar?
I've been defending JohnC today - he tells it like it is on here and he's lambasted for it. The sooner people realise how non-committed the players are to the club the better, that was attrocious today.
Blame Mr. Cunnington for not drilling into his players what the revenue would have been today against a club who are some of are playing in the Cradley league.
Disgraceful.
And furious.
I'm up for forum debate because I am simply appalled.

Bad defeat to a club 2 steps below - looks like the writing could be on the wall already.

Gingeryeltz, your last paragraph echoes the sentiments of a fair number of the stalwarts who stand behind the dugout.
Today's result was, as you say, a financial disaster and will turn out to be a bigger one as we inevitably end up as a "one man and his dog" team!
Sad, very sad.

Dear oh dear. We've had shockers in the FA Cup before, last year at Rocester and at Oadby about 13 years ago spring to mind. To manage this at home though has surely plumbed new depths. From beginning to end Dudley looked like the more accomplished outfit and thoroughly deserved thier win. A wickedly deflected shot is all we have to show for 90 minutes against a team from TWO divisions below us. Aside from that we couldn't hit a barn door. Can't believe i've bought a season ticket to watch this, i'm not really into masochism...

Re: FA Cup Dudley Town
I am not too sure if it was a case of one too many Budweisers but the fan mentioned by Swipey has followed the Yeltz for a while now and it is the first time I have heard him have a go directly with our players - I understood why he was pissed off with the crap performance and voiced his opinion.
How Milligan could possibly defend that display I really do not know - what he needs to remember is that he has only been here 5 minutes and what we have left is pretty much the die hard fans who have supported the club for years and they are entitled to their opinion.
So what I say to Milligan is grow up son, take the poor performance on the chin and prove us wrong next time instead of threatening to have a beer and a 'chat' with someone.
Nobody likes to be criticised but Johhnybud got your performance pretty spot on today.
