It is with regret I have to pass on the News that Dave Parker passed away last night. Dave had as usual been working at the ground yesterday and returned last night to watch a Sunday league game being played at the Grove. It appears Dave suffered a heart attack, Paramedics attended but unfortunately Dave was later pronounced dead at hospital.

Dave was a staunch Halesowen Town F.C. Supporter and worked tirelessly on the clubs behalf, he will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.

There will be a minutes silence in his memory before Saturdays game against Clevedon Town.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family.

R.I.P Dave.

Gary Willetts
On behalf of Halesowen Town Football Club.

Just been told this news by Mike Burke. Can't believe it! What a shock, Dave had been working at the ground endlessly for the past year or so and was such a good character.

I remember in the summer when we all loved his ranting and raving about this that and the other... He kept going on about the youth of today and their 'clicky fingers'. All in good spirit too.

He will be sadly missed and my thoughts go to his family.

R.I.P Dave - Going to miss you at the working parties this summer down The Grove.

This is such sad news I’m totally gutted and lost for words. Always spoke to Dave at home and away matches he was such a top man, a great character he always made me and my fellow Yeltzmen laugh. He was well respected well liked just an all round top guy.

RIP Dave we will all miss you.

Absolute gut wretching news to hear that Dave has passed away.

He was a regular to the youth team fixtures this season and always had a laugh with the lads, also making them feel welcome within the ground.

His witty banter and smile will be sadly missed within the youth side and the club as whole.

RIP Dave

As has been stated by others on here this is very sad news I spoke to Dave a fair bit and away matches as well as having memorable conversations with him as I left the Grove after games.

As some of you may know I am from Weoley Castle which is where Dave originated from I believe and on one occasion I was crossing the road in my chair outside my house and Dave happened to be driving past as he was taking someone home and he stopped to allow me to cross the road as well is to engage in a bit of good-natured banter at the same time!
RIP Dave

Just coming to terms with what happened last night. still in a state of shock.

I was talking to Dave moments before the game last night & he seemed fine, moaning (as normal) in Daves jolly way.

I for one will miss Dave as he has helped out on numerous occassions with the Youth Team on matchdays, Dave will always be remembered & sadly missed.

I normally am quick to reply to posts on this forum, but this has been such a shock that it has taken me a few hours to get my head round this tragic news.
As I share the same surname as Dave and, for our sins we both followed the dismal events at AVFC over the years, we were always going to have a certain rapport.
Dave had a wicked, cynical sense of humour surpassed only by his friendly smile. A true Yeltz supporter both home and away he was always ready and willing to help behind the scenes as well.
It just isn’t fair that someone like him passes on when he was so much enjoying life.

You’ll be missed at The Grove, Dave. R.I.P mate.
