Maybe, like Baldrick, they have a cunning plan?

Halesowen Town 1 Witton Albion 3

Halesowen dropped to the bottom of the table after being outplayed by classy, second-placed Witton.

Once again, Halesowen fell behind to early goals as Albion went 2-0 up within 19 minutes in a fine display of attractive football. The in-form visitors started on the front foot as Prince Haywood struck a 5th minute free-kick past the post and James Foley drove wide after eight minutes in the driving rain.

Lively Witton wide-man Matty Devine caused all sorts of problems for Halesowen throughout the evening with his probing runs. He danced through the home defence in the 16th minute and although his shot was blocked, Will JONES slotted home the rebound with ease to put Witton in the driving seat.

Halesowen’s first chance came from a 17th minute corner sent over by Matthew Hearsey, but Dominic’s Smith header was gathered by goalkeeper Calvin Hare near his post.

It was soon 2-0 in the 19th minute when Asa Charlton was penalised for handball and Steven TAMES smashed home confidently from the penalty spot.

Although Lee Chilton delivered a good 28th minute cross, the Yeltz struggled to pose any real threat up front and were cut up again at the back in the 34th minute, only for Dan Platt to make a fantastic reflex save from Tames at the end of a lightning attack.

Devine skipped down the left once again three minutes into the second half but his cross was hacked clear and Ben Hedley nodded over the bar after 50 minutes as Halesowen continued to be outclassed.

There was brief hope after Jack KELLY fired home to pull a goal back for Halesowen in the 59th minute when Witton failed to clear a corner from the left.

Halesowen’s Smith and Witton’s Rob Hopley found the back of the net again through headers, but both efforts were chalked off for an infringement on the respective goalkeeper.

Witton continued to be superior, if somewhat wasteful in front of goal, as they hit the crossbar after 62 minutes and went close again in the 85th minute when Jones struck wide following good work on the right-wing from Haywood.

But Albion then deservedly wrapped up the three points in the 89th minute after Platt failed to gather a left-wing corner, leaving HAYWOOD to follow up from 12 yards.

Nor do I feel that the return of the ladders would make any difference.
It might. With the exception of a couple of them, the people who are now in positions of power weren't there when the ladders came out before. They probably don't believe it really happened or have no idea about it.

I'd be more than willing to get the ladder out. It won't make a jot of difference. The club have already made it very clear they don't care what the fans think / want, and they clearly do not care that average attendances have dropped by approximately 50% over the last few years.

But it'd at least mean I could watch the game without parting with £10 to watch complete and utter dross.

So you get your ladders out. What's your point? Remove Hill? Remove the owner? Remove the volunteers who are currently running the club?

Then once you've decided the answer to those. What's your immediate / short term / long term plan?

The majority of the team and John Hills brand of football ain't worth watching whether you are on the terraces or standing on a ladders.
One way or another GO JOHN HILL.

It would achieve very little, wouldn't it? It seems that John Hill / Matt Clarke / Lynch are here to stay for a number of years, despite how bad the club is failing - What their motivation is and what they get out of seeing the club fall, I don't know? Any ideas? Whatever they are getting out of it now, they need to realise they can't get anything from nothing...

As a fan, I don't have any long term answers. I know that should John Hill and Matt Clarke leave, it would improve the on field side of the club almost immediately - It can't get any worse!

Long term? Lynch needs to sell the club onto an investor who has money and we need business people involved who genuinely care about Halesowen as a club AND a Town. Easier said than done, I know.

Right now, it appears to me that this club lacks genuine passion and heart for Halesowen. From on the pitch to the off the pitch.

Dare I suggest that it would be more beneficial, long term, if the Club was liquidated and what ever fans are left, are left to start over again - as per post M**s*n plans. I fear there aren't enough good people left to achieve that.

I'm not sure there are the dedicated folk around with the time or inclination to go about forming a new club anymore. There is more than just football going on here as some have alluded to on here but isn't that always the case when it comes to this club.

No club with our record over the last couple of seasons - and in particular this one - would retain the managerial/ coaching personnel if there were not "dark forces" influencing the way that the club is run.
HTFC seems to attract owners with, shall I say, less than straight forward football intentions. Why are we such a target for cherry pickers/ asset strippers et al? It's almost certain that all this will end in a disaster for the club, fans and the town of Halesowen.
Sad days!
