For me people who give up their spare time to help the club whether it be in a volunteer or an official of the club do not deserve to be criticised or berated for their efforts. They work hard for the club and put in a lot of time and effort with little or no reward.

However their opinions on the club may have to be questioned in the past, however from speaking to some of them today it would appear that they are slowly turning to see that maybe JH is not the answer after all.

Things are not good ON the pitch and haven't for a while. Attendances have dwindled and the turnover of players has been frightening.

Things have not changed in almost two years and are getting worse so IMO there is no other option that the manager HAS to go.

It's all very well having a nice pitch, nice fencing and facilities but what good is it when there are no fans there to appreciate them?

I read it as those that made today happen were those that didn't act after Monday. I may be wrong, Y27 may clarify.
Yes of course that is what I meant obviously

I am sorry. I know it was a sarcastic remark, but one that was certainly not intended to be abusive. I am sorry for being so offensive. Despite my grievances with certain things, I know a lot of hard work goes in also. So to put what I did was wrong, and thoughtless. I apologise

Reading the latest posts it's an understatement to say feelings are running high amongst the fans (forum users at least), but lets not take this forum to a level we will regret.

Everyone on here posts/reads because they care about the club, first and foremost, which is all of our common ground.

Halesowen Town 0 Basford United 3

Out-classed Halesowen were dumped out of the FA Cup by lower league Basford after conceding three goals in a disastrous eight-minute spell at the start of the second half.

Although Basford posed plenty of first-half danger from set pieces, there was little to choose between the teams in a mostly even first period. Cameron Steele earned Halesowen’s first corner in the 2nd minute and Deon Meikle flashed a header wide from James Reid’s dangerous cross in the 6th minute for the visitors.

Reid’s deflected shot forced the first of two consecutive Basford corners after 22 minutes and home goalkeeper Niall Maher made a good 24th minute save from captain Lewis Carr following Matt Thornhill’s corner. The visitors went closer still after 27 minutes when Ashley Grayson put Kieron Wells clear down the right and although he steered the ball past Maher from a tight angle, Bradley Lewis was on hand to clear the ball off the line.

In a better spell of home possession before half-time, Luke Shearer blazed a great chance over the bar in the 38th minute after Steele’s right-wing cross found its way through the penalty area and on-loan Daniel Udoh headed Shearer’s 43rd minute cross over the bar on his debut.

But it was soon all over as the struggling Yeltz were trounced by three quick-fire goals in a shambolic start to the second half. Within 45 seconds of the restart REID capitalised on a defensive error to fire a hard, low shot from the edge of the area into Maher’s bottom corner. Halesowen’s static defence just escaped further damage as Thornhill soon went close with a header and Wells steered just wide.

But Halesowen lost possession again in the 51st minute when Reid hit a deep cross to the far post and Ashley Grayson nodded across goal for Liam HEARN to convert from just a yard out to double the lead as Halesowen fell apart.

It was soon game, set and match at 3-0 just two minutes later in the 53rd minute when Thornhill played HEARN through and he shrugged off his defender to hit a hard, low shot under goalkeeper Maher as Basford filled their boots.

Well beaten Halesowen had nothing to offer in response as the visitors romped home with some comfort, although on-loan substitute Oliver Finney had a long range 73rd minute shot cleared off the line by Reid and another 78th minute long range shot from Finney was gathered easily by visiting goalkeeper Saul Deeney.

Although buoyant Basford were full value for their impressive, well deserved victory to maintain their 100% start to the season, the afternoon was a costly embarrassment for Halesowen as their early season problems lurched even further towards crisis.
