Lost 3-1. After we gave them a start we played well

A promising performance all in all - nothing in it after we gave them a 3-0 start

Played some decent football on the ground, Shearer could have had a hat trick with a bit of luck, and was easily the best player on the pitch

We'll play worse than that and win this season

I can only go on what I see every so often, but still reasonably optimistic for the season ahead

Your mileage may vary

Your positivity and optimism won't cut much mustard in certain quarters, methinks..
Cue the usual suspects.

This was always a bonus game for me. The next 2 home games will be much more of an indication of where we're at.

Easy to say now but I agree, on our past record up there, it is no more than we could expect.
A dreadful start but we apparently stemmed the tide and played some decent football.
That, undoubtedly, will attract scorn and derision from certain quarters but it's one game - the first - and we go again on Tuesday.

No negative comments from me. What a fantastic start to the season. I'm pleased our difficult pre-season schedule paid dividends.

3-1. Should've been a pen first. I touched the ball. Corner, keeper punched in own net

Definitely deserved
What you got against their keeper then, Brother Pollard? ;)
