Can any club at this level ever be self sufficient AND successful though? With such small crowds compared to bygone years, and little or no chance of that changing while at this level, progress on the field i fear will be mighty slow. Our catch 22 situation probably feels a lot worse than many other teams because we in the past have been there and done it. Still grateful for small mercies but for me much of the excitement and anticipation has long since gone. An FA Cup draw at Tamworth may stoke the embers though...... ;D

Pre Season for 2012/13

Won 12 Drawn 5 Lost 17 Goals for 47 Goals against 48.

Manager now joins players in being sent off!

Even when we had a reasonable run of results lately 2 or 3 goal wins the gates in the sun at home fell!

Very disappointing.

Oh and no one seems to have mentioned prior to today's game at Poole we could not have mathematically reached the playoffs.

There are complaints that he is too quiet on the touchline and complaints when he's not ???

Had any of us been in his position when that penalty was given yesterday, we also would have had plenty to say to the officials! (and most of us present did)

I have no problem with the manager being passionate on the sideline, in fact I bloody love it! You should hear me on a Sunday morning with my kids team, I never stop praising them, barking out instructions ,keeping their heads up, challenging them, giving them targets, obviously at our level referees don't get a lot of stick, but you can keep them on their toes!

I say fair play Shaun as long as the players know if they do it they will be sent off where it counts on the pitch so they shouldn't do it to such an extent, obviously its probably not the best example to set to your players but football is a very passionate game, it's what gets your blood pumping and when decisions go against you some shocking we react ,its only natural, but as Zee said what's Shaun supposed to do, it seems he can't win, but what he and us must understand is he is here not to make friends but to manage this football club, so we should butt out and let him have at least one more season. It's a long hard process to get us back upwards, we need stability and continuity, chopping and changing managers is not the way forward, there have been improvements since a few months ago when there was a subject raised. I am right behind him.

just like to say re saturdays match..the players after the sending off, worked their socks off! they defended as if their lives depended on it, diving in front of shots, chasing back, intense consentraction for all of the second half, several goal line clearances, good saves against a good, strong team.. we deserved at least a draw..it just wasnt fair!
the only thing you can say is that although no fault at this game, the situation were in, chasing games, players missing etc has come from what seems to have been a strange unsettled season, we now need to see something that puts down the foundations so we can look forward to next season

I agree that second half, the lads played hard! You could tell they wanted it and we did deserve a draw; a loss wasnt fair.

However, between the sending off and the penalty we lost the game! We know the refs arent great at this level but whereas other teams have learnt this and play on it, we havent! Surely by now we would have learnt that they give anything and everything!
