Well I've seen nothing to tempt me back into the fold, the frontline appointments do nothing to alter what lurks in the background.

Oh well, there goes me with my blinkers on again. For a second it seemed like that we've brought someone in with reasonable credibility. But sadly it seems that, because it's not accompanied an announcement to also 1. Sack the manager, 2. Boot out our current volunteers, 3. Relay the pitch, 4. Increase the budget and 5. Commit to some non-league tika-taka, then we're not happy on here.

I'm inclined to agree on the Clarkey thing though. Even I'm partial to dropping the fishing line out to Stourbr*dge occasionally. Not great timing yesterday though- will come back to bite us I'm sure :-[

New chair sounds like a good appointment. A businesswoman with a good head on her shoulders and a love of football.

It would be nice to be told what the plan for the pitch is this close season , what the 12 month , 3 year and 5 year plans and targets are , and whether any substantial sponsorship deals are in the pipeline

A little communication goes a long way. A secretive regime tends to push fans away.

Good point Welshbloke.

We used to have a thread on here for the Chairman to take questions, and even though the "character" involved at that time was one of our more special employees, the openness was appreciated, even if the honesty was lacking.

I'd be happy to reinstate this, and to moderate it with my traditional dictatorial zeal.

If anyone from the club would like to speak to me, it can be done through here or most people have my phone number.

The pitch is being dug out, laser levelled and then reseeded. Not sure if the process takes a season to settle or if it means tikka-takka from day 1?

Doesn't help much though if the management still insist on kick and rush hoof ball tactics :'(

Tiki Taka would be equally dreadful. Despite the constant 'do you expect us to be Barcelona' rubbish that is always trotted out, anybody that knows me knows I hate watching Barcelona. I just want to see some pace, some width, a team that can move and something that resembles football. The pitch is a myth as I've said before because other teams manage to play on it just fine.

In relation to Piearce and his point about the manager being sacked. Yes I'd like a change but I appreciate it won't happen. However, the assistant manager should definitely go. And it appears quite a large majority of people on social media feel the same, apart from our new General Manager judging by his tweet to Matt Clarke yesterday. And people wonder why we criticise and complain! So anybody hoping for anything to change, I'm afraid I suspect things will only get a lot worse

What did it say as I can't see anything?

Not much. However, if people don't understand how social media works when you have responsibility, then clearly they aren't suited to the role. That should have been considered before any position was offered in my opinion.

And secondly, whether an official complaint is made or not about Saturday, the club can still see quite clearly that lots of people have been complaining on social media. They should take action regardless of any complaints. If no action is taken it won't reflect well on the club

Long and short, he called Stour a failure. Now I'm pretty cool with winding up Stourbr*dge fans but it doesn't take much to compare what they've managed to achieve this season vs. what we have. He's taken a fair bit of stick in return and I daresay there are now a few dozen from deepest darkest Amblecote who'll be on his back for a while now.

To return the thread to the topic of the new chairman, I agree it would be really helpful to hear from Karen about her plans for the club, so long as the usual suspects on here can put on a friendly face for it.

I'm also not clear on the Steve situation. Is he still the owner? If so, is this a temporary arrangement whilst he serves his ban?

TBH I have no idea about Steves situation regarding ownership either. Can someone clarify?
