Im not sure Stourbr*dge comparisons are helpful. Im not interested in Stourbr*dge. If they go up, good luck to them. We were better than Tamworth, many moons ago and Stafford were way better than us. Its irrelevant. Non league has always been peaks and troughs. However reading some Stourbr*dge tweets, its all doom and gloom and not good enough today.
I've said many times, we're at our level, with what we have. All the moans and groans wont change it. We could get a new manager and be way better OR way worse. As it is bar FA points deductions I dont think we'll go down. If we do, Ill still go. It hasnt been a great season results wise. Last season was ok. It didnt help losing so many players at the start and again recently. I'm open minded about JH, unsure about the running of the club/finances but I do genuinely beleive people are working hard behind the scenes. I can change nothing but I will support them as and when I can. Im getting tired of the negativity if im honest.
Interestingly Stafford got 600 plus against Workington. Not sure how that came about.

Re: Warrington Updates
I used Stourbr*dge as an example of what is possible. Unfortunately they are relevant to the Halesowen situation. Obviously what is going on on the pitch at the Grove has absolutely nothing to do with Stourbr*dge, but the people that go through the gates come from the same catchment area. That doesn't apply to Halesowen and Stafford or Halesowen and Tamworthdrummyb wrote: ↑18 Feb 2017, 18:22Im not sure Stourbr*dge comparisons are helpful. Im not interested in Stourbr*dge. Re: Warrington Updates
Its a fair point but they arent relevant. Bar the glory games, id say the majority of Stour games are attended by locals.
I use Stafford and Tamworth as an example of how teams can up and down quite easily in Non league. Could have used Frickley, Dudley Town, the now defunct Halesowen Harriers, or even Fleetwood. Nothing more than an example of teams we have competed with that have gone in different directions

Re: Warrington Updates
It doesn't really bother me about Stour either but the simple truth is we could have picked up many of those extra floating fans they now have had we been successful. A mate of mine who goes there occasionally said there are a lot who are cheesed off with league football have hooked up with them in recent times. If we had produced on the field they could well have come here. Unfortunately there is no way that is going to happen. There are people out there waiting to be entertained, lets not forget we were getting over a thousand regularly at one time when Stour could only muster a few hundred because coming to the Grove was entertaining. The boots on the other foot now and imo we have little to no chance of reversing It for the foreseeable.

And the chairman is our former co owner Mick Burke. Probably invested a bit as they are now putting players on contract.
