At the moment the league table suggests there are, and the form table suggests there aren't!Yeltz27 wrote:No, there aren'tOmmerUmYeltz wrote:

Re: Buxton Updates
Home defeats of 2-4 thankfully happen very infrequently, The last time was on 6th Dec 2008 against Swindon Supermarine and our line-up may bring back memories to some of us:
BUSSEY BRISCOE COWLEY HOYTE CANOVILLE BARRETO DENNY CORNWALL ABBEY DANKS## GOUVEIA
subs: MELITAS SMITH CASKEY PALMER CAMPBELL
Away defeats by this score have occurred more but still not too often. One of them sticks out in my mind as it was my only visit to Sudbury when I think Snapper was sent off. I notice in our side was a Mr. Hackett about whom I think I read something in the paper recently. It slips my mind what the article was about but I remember thinking it was something destined to end in failure .....

Did we take the lead in either of those? And we're the opposition down to ten men for the majority of those games?Laurel Lane Lamper wrote:Home defeats of 2-4 thankfully happen very infrequently, The last time was on 6th Dec 2008 against Swindon Supermarine and our line-up may bring back memories to some of us:

I am pretty sure that Swindon match was Nick Bussey's third red card of that season, an outstanding achievement for early December. Of course, home matches against Swindon Supermarine were rarely dull - the previously encounter saw us contrive to lose a 4-1 lead and ended up in a 4-4 draw

It's unlikely. What it does highlight though is that the fitness levels are pretty shocking. Ten men shouldn't be able to dominate. Hold on maybe, park the bus, but not run up the other end and score 4 times.RaidenYeltz wrote:Did we take the lead in either of those? gave away a 4-1 lead, we'd have settled for a 4-4 draw down at WimborneNoggin wrote:I am pretty sure that Swindon match was Nick Bussey's third red card of that season, an outstanding achievement for early December. All these tales of yesteryear, although interesting, don't alter the fact that yesterday we were humiliated!

I'm still amazed no one seems to notice that throwing away a lead is becoming our trademark under John Hill.Yeltz27 wrote:It's unlikely.
