When an ardent supporter, such as Mel, has lost faith in the manager and his style of play, then I think that his thoughts and opinion are worthy of due consideration.
From my point of view being a season ticket holder and watching every week is very similar to driving the same car week in and week out – you don’t notice that the brakes are gradually getting worse. That can only lead to disaster.
The decline in our performance has been a slow and consistent wearing down of supporter’s patience. Therefore, the only way to rectify a dangerous situation is to change that which has worn itself out and is no longer up to doing the job that it was employed to do.

Whilst the point you are making is correct - good forwards at this level are at a premium on our budget.CRHTheTog wrote:Yes those forwards that grow on trees that no other club wants, we'll take three of those
The fact is we've had one of the, if not the best strikers in the league at our disposal for 12 months now, give or take. The fact is, despite that resource, results and performances haven't been up to scratch.
We've also had Delaney; a very good striker IMO, whose chances have been limited.
My point is that it's now irrelevant who we do and do not sign. I can't see any improvements forthcoming under the current circumstances.

Also, my second point is, it just shows that strikers are out there be it on short term loans etc. And we can attract them.
Loans are not ideal, but if it's the only way to get players in, so be it.
I'm not saying it's as easy as clicking your fingers and a good striker appears, either. Let's just have some balance.

and also there is nothing wrong with a change of manager it is not personal against any person/persons it's part of football that when things are not going well you make a change and I don't mean every time we get bad result obviously I mean when it is sustained length of time. Indeed floating supporters who only come to games occasionally and would come more often perhaps would expect when things haven't been going to plan the club to make a change if they don't see this happening when required they must wonder what is going on. Ruthless and sometimes cruel it may be that but that is football and even at this level it's what happens and what people expect.lutleyyeltz wrote:When an ardent supporter, such as Mel, has lost faith in the manager and his style of play, then I think that his thoughts and opinion are worthy of due consideration.

Re: New Bloke
Hi ya John meant to get back sooner, but evening meal on the go, hope you and Lady Parker had a great Xmas, have even better New Year 2017. Will c u when we play at home against Buxton hopefully. Felt it was time to throw my penny worth in, so yes l do feel a change is needed, will it happen, we can only wait and see Myself IMO the sands are very much out of the bottle, have just looked at further points from Raiden. In relation to Mr Bowerman, l felt from his first game against Rushall Pic's he doesn't work the front line enough..one goal to show. Aware forwards are difficult to come by but l go back to the long ball hoof GB is not a work horse like Anderson IMO, Anderson is a totally different/higher quality player, therefore if you are going to get the best out of GB, The ball has to be on the ground, out wide for him, then in the middle to run onto and hopefully, start to score the goals we badly need. Hopefully Delaney will be back, for me he was coming good, l would say he is more of a worker, puts himself about more than GB, getting the impression JH is looking to try and lock the back doors. Still feel we are going to struggle to score enough goals to stop this lack of wins
