Attendances.
Stourbr*dge over 1,400.
Halesowen just over 600.
This isn't an opinion. This is fact.
I'll just leave this here.

Re: Attendances.
Facts, yes, but a little selective.
You can put some of our higher attendance down to the boost of a Cup run.
Also, Rushall brought far more (honestly, they did!) than I bet Sutton did to your place.
607 I'd say is genuinely not bad for that fixture today, taken in isolation from all the things I read about management and style of play, upon which I would never dream of commenting...

Re: Attendances.
Stourbr*dge have a manager who played for Stoke and the Albion amongst others. Halesowen have a manager who has managed Tipton. I don't have a problem with John Hill and Tipton, but it's a different thing managing Halesowen. It's no surprise that the fortunes of the two clubs are so contrastingThe Reasonable Man wrote:Facts, yes, but a little selective.

Re: Attendances.
Why watch good attacking and winning football. When you can watch negative, mind numbingly boring football?
The mind boggles.
The mind boggles.

Re: Attendances.
I'm not sure a managers playing record really justifies his managerial ability Mr 27. I agree with a lot of what you say, but Mourinho and Wenger hardly set the world alight as players!
Also the Blues have just replaced Rowett (a good 'journeyman' footballer) with Zola (a world class international). Will things improve- I reckon not!
Things are pretty crap at the moment but if we did change manager their playing record would not automatically be the first thing I looked at in a replacement...

JB, I agree with you. But you have things to draw on if you have played to that level. Mourinho and Wenger get away with it but generally some experience helps. At the moment, and for a long time, you can tell Tipton is JohnJohnny Bud wrote:I'm not sure a managers playing record really justifies his managerial ability Mr 27. Hill's level. People marvel that he spent ten years at Tipton, but could you imagine ten years of this drivel? Halesowen is NOT Tipton.

Re: Attendances.
Perspective required here. Combined total of just over 2k at both games, take the away fans out of both and you probably have approx 1800. If it had been Stour v Yeltz today then that would have been fairly close to the gate expected.
Stour are going to do well gate wise with the floating voters, not playing badly, cup run, etc is always going to give them a few more at the moment.
In the last few years we've gone from being the pre-eminent club to the poor relations. Stour have also had their time, it goes in cycles.

Oh, wait.
No we didn't.
Why was that, I wonder? (Hint some of us, who don't eat cake, actually know a thing or two).
