There don't seem to be as many CBFs (Carrier Bag Fans) as once there were.

Perhaps you can now get an app instead of your copies of The Non-League Directory, The National Railway TImetable and Kerrang!, and as such the species has become extinct?

We do seem to have fewer, erm, characters, than previously. Perhaps I'm just not there often enough to observe the new breed in their full splendour?

And, as a self-indulgent (what? No!) aside, I always claim the validity of my theory that every club, whatever its size, has about 12 nutters attached to it. So, the "Deranged Dozen" will be lost in the maelstrom of 80,000 corporate shills at Old Trafford, but in the Non League, you really do get to see some sights.

This ideology is of course proved beyond doubt by going to a game that only has 12 or so in attendance, where everyone present will be somewhat, shall we settle for "idiosyncratic".

The aforementioned CBF has resurfaced again lately. Seems to be minus the bag though. Must have big pockets on the Armani suit......

I recall many of us were already in the ground post drinkies, when Charlie shambles in on the other side. With a new supermarket carrier bag!!! The resounding "Charlies got a new bag" will always be one of my favourites. ;D
So, yesterday I was reliably informed that I was way out with the year. It was early nineties. Oh, and I got the wrong ground as well. It was Wealdstone. Great memory I have obviously. Now all I need to be told is that it wasn't Charlie....... :D
