Divided Loyalties

Post by blueandwhitealright » 03 Jun 2016, 20:53

I`ve just renewed my flexi season ticket for the forthcoming campaign. I almost went the whole hog and bought the full ticket but with over 50 years of following the Albion I find it difficult to make a complete break from them . I can count on one hand the number of games I truly enjoyed at the Hawthorns last season but very rarely came away from the Grove without a smile on my face !
I hope I`m not considered too much of a "part timer " by regular yeltz fans and wish everyone at the Club a successful 2016-17 !

Despite always buying a season ticket, this year you have bought half a seasons worth more than me. Still no reply as to whether one could be bought without the abhorrent new crest on it. :-\

That's one of the positives about non-league. Most people have divided loyalties (unless you're a die hard like me :-[ ) but it really doesn't matter. Flexi tickets are a great idea as it does cater for those with another team. Any new fans, whether it's one game or a season ticket, are always very welcome.

The Flexi season ticket is proving ever popular this season and has grown every time since it was launched two years ago.

Offers fans like yourself blueandwhite a chance to attend non league games as well as supporting a league club. Doesn't make you any more less of a fan than us. It's a great way to show your support.

See you at The Grove soon.

If there's been a question raised and no courtesy of a response given, that's quite poor from the club.

Even if it's a 'no' because of x,y,z. It's as if the club don't want your money! It can't be hard to print a ticket with the 'retro' badge on, to appease fans with views such as yours.

Disappointed to read the above.

Thanks for the support on this. All I want to know is if I'm ever going to buy anything from the club ever again! I know others feel the same.
On the divided loyalties theme, as far as I am concerned if the two are never likely to meet there's no problem, just double the enjoyment!
.....or relegation heartbreak for some. ;D

I'm with you on this as I'm in a similar position as well. I had the flexi season ticket last year and between Yeltz and Villa I managed to do 50 games home and away which I thought was pretty impressive. It meant I was able to get a football fix of some description every weekend. Whilst at times, particularly with Villa, the football wasn't great but I still had a fantastic time and I couldn't be without it.

I'm waiting till the fixtures come out to see if it's worthwhile me doing the flexi season again for the forthcoming season, but if not I'll still be down The Grove as and when I can!

Up the Yeltz!

I think the flexi ticket is great for getting fans to come and watch Halesowen who follow another club in the locality. I think many other fans have another team they look out for too. You may not feel ready to make the full break from Albion yet but getting the flexi ticket shows a commitment to the Yeltz and fair play to you for doing so.
