Apart from the Grove, just a couple of questions about the Waggon & Horses:
Are kids allowed in there?
Do they do lager, like?
Does it get nicely rammed pre-match?
No doubt I can find this out myself less than 48 hours from now,but as Ant 'n Dec say, "I cannae wait, pet!"

Re: The Second Mecca?
The Waggon used to have posters up, although admittedly I haven't been in for a while, and was traditional when ordering lager to ask for a pint of 'wendy' or 'super wendy' depending upon the strength !!
I may have to make a return in the not too distant future

I wish mate. Although I do like a pint of it from time to time (which is usually on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) I am alas the grand old age of 36, even though admittedly my tastebuds have not matured since I were a t'ut lad (fishfinger sandwiches anyone?)Westyeltz wrote:Do kids do lager? Re: The Second Mecca?
Bit disappointed, but my own fault... I've gone there for a pre-match sup for the friendly against the Wolverhampton Casuals (also see this <post>), haven't been in since 1993 and for some stupid, naive and and pure fantasy, I expect a load of Yeltz supporters in there, all beered-up at the bar, singing songs and waving blue & white scarves
Selection of ales is fantastic, staff are probably the best I've known at a boozer for a long while and the atmosphere was okay...
For me though, I'm going to be really polite and say "it 'ay mar cuppa tay"... does this mean I'm immediately banned?
