I'm guessing John Hill snapped in frustration at criticism.

Understandably in my opinion given what he, his staff and his players have achieved and the effort put in over the last 18 months.

For me he shouldn't and doesn't have to justify any decision he makes in game - especially when it's just one or two idiots who feel they know better.

I'm guessing those who've made comments have very short memories - I wonder if they were so critical a month or so ago when we reached 50 points and at the time had a good shout at the play offs.

I hope John has the temerity to ignore the odd moaner and take on board the majority of fans' opinions. Which are very high of him.

I'm sure he does.

If he's reading this - chin up gaffa. I know it's not in your or this group of players make up to 'relax' and take our foot off the gas, but we all know this years target has been achieved. To achieve it so early is incredible.

The players and management deserve a bit of a break as far as I'm concerned. I know those behind the scenes will say they play every game the same but it must be so hard to achieve the same amount of intensity game after game knowing you've already achieved your goal - and over achieved in mid table.

Let's finish the season on a high and build on this season into next season. The majority of fans appreciate the achievement this season, I'm disappointed at recent results but I'm also realistic and acknowledge the run of teams we've played has been tough. I am not worried or concerned.

Behind you all the way, gaffa.

Well spoken today Josh, agree with your sentiments, very tough season to date we are there as far as safety
is concerned. Has to be difficult to keep the intensity for every game at a high.

Lets just keep battling on and try our best to finish on a high.... the fans home and away will follow the lads and John, Trevor, Kevin and all the staff to the end. ;) ;) ;)

As l am sure everyone has their right to give their thoughts and feelings on OUR CLUB and long may it be so.

I too am very pleased at the position we are in but I don't live in North Korea. Hailing the almighty leader on every appearance in public is not my scene. If people are not entirely happy at 9 without a win that should be taken on board. Quite correct, non of us could do any better, but he probably wouldn't be better than me at my job and i have to take critisism if all doesnt go well. I'm satisfied that we are currently the mid table side that we are, but that's ALL we are. Please don't get so carried away.

John Hill in my opinion you have no need to come and explain your actions. You are the man in charge, your record speaks for itself, a promotion and most probably a top 10 finish in a higher league, in my eyes you couldn't have done any better. Really love your passion and drive to succeed and I really hope you will be Halesowen Town manager for many years to come !

Why do you constantly feel the need to say things like this about people who disagree with you? What makes you think you have the right to do this?

People who disagree with you don't insult you

So bucket mouth Raiden has opened his big mouth yet again to insult , anyone who doesnt agree with him and who criticise the management or their tactics. I for one did n't criticise his substitutions at the time but realised afterwards that they had a bearing on the result. Over many years I have seen us surrender bigger leads than that and so I never feel completely safe. I therefore was glad that John Hill gave his reasons for his actions and I and probably more of "the idiots" appreciated his reasons. For this reason I totally disagree with another member of the " jump up and down club" who says he doesn't need to give his reasons. I think he does as he is partly funded by us and certainly gets more respect by explaining the reasoning.
Do us and yourself a favour Raiden, either pick your words more carefully or better still give us all respect and resume your non-posting regime that you began , but lasted all to short, earlier in the season.

No Need Really For the manager to make a statement Considering the job hes done shouldn't let a few moaners worry him In the Glory days always a few moaning no matter how well we did so Not alot changed in the last 25 years really.

You're quite right, everyone is entitled to their opinions as much as I am mine.

It's quite sad that after winning the league last year and attaining mid table safety this year that the gaffer felt the need to release a statement justifying his substitutions.

I accept John Hill isn't immune from criticism, as long as it's constructive. In fact it's quite sad that he has a number of critics who seemingly wait for a bad result to jump on his back. But there you go, you pay your money and are entitled to that view point, I guess.

I have my criticisms of John, I'd select certain players that John doesn't or bring on players he wouldn't, for example. But I also have the respect for the job he has done over the last 18 months, coupled with realism. Let's be honest we are over achieving. Yes, that doesn't make you immune from criticism, but let's not go over board with it, eh?

I recall a number of fans got on his back early on this year and similar 'arguments' ensued. I maintained that John was doing a great job and would turn things around. Look at how we've done since that period. Quite an achievement, isn't it?

I admire the fact that we had a tough start and we were struggling, yet John had the tactical nous to change formation. Firstly by moving Tilt into midfield, against Matlock, I believe. Which resulted in a 4-0 win. And secondly switching to 3-5-2 which has proved a solid formation for us which in turn has moved us up to the table.

Again you're entitled to your opinions and to criticise John Hill, but let's concentrate on the positive of the year shall we?

You only have to look at how Belper have faired to appreciate the step up in quality and in many respects how Stourbirdge have faired too.

Enjoy the fact we're enjoying a pretty good season and let's look forward to continuing our progression and hopefully push on further next year. We aren't a million miles away at this level.

God knows what people would be like if we were in Belper's position!

I don't think anybody's knocking John. I'm certainly not. Its more a reaction to the over the top comments about how fabulous we are.

We have made unbelievable progress the last couple of seasons,we have a long way to go, we are not fabulous, but John doesn't want us to stand still, he wants us to keep progressing, and believe me under this guy and the team around him we will go places !

Fine have a moan but just make sure when he does get it right (which is a hell of a lot) just make she that he gets the credit he deserves too !
