It would never happen today of course, but Dick Taylor later owned a small sports shop on a corner of Witton Road not far from Villa Park.
Dick was a lovely man but was the sole supplier of rugby shirts for my school and every single year he was totalled amazed by the fact that 90-odd new 1st Formers would want a rugby shirt in September. I don't believe it ever occurred it him to place an order with suppliers earlier in the year.
