RIP spiders
So the visit to the loft has been completed. Would far rather be at FCUM but hey ho. Anyone that knows me may be aware of my arachnid passion, so sad to to find so many dead ones. But amongst the legs I found treasures. Hundreds upon hundreds of HTFC programmes. First up, still cannot solve the shirt year conundrum! Second, Dalevillain the Canvey programme will be winging its way to you Saturday.(arrange to meet). Thirdly, the much sought after picture of a certain person stuck in a postman pat van has been found on a fanzine!!!!!!! Its crap quality but I still don't know how to get it on to the forum. Doc, HELP.

Re: RIP spiders
Good work Brother Avery.
Did you have some programmes from the 99/00 season to get a better look at the player wearing the shirt in question?

Are there no pics in the 96/7, 97/8 or 98/9 progs that would clear it up?
And, the great lost pic of some fatboy stuck in a child's ride, if you photograph it with your phone and send it to me as a picture message, I'll store it for the ages...

Re: RIP spiders
Unfortunately the programmes reveal nothing. Photos inside were not the order of the day for us then. Quite a few of the away programmes during that 3/4/5 year spell do have us as wearing blue and white stripes, though which version is still unclear. In reality it probably was the away kit to the 'yellow armies'. Mark takes pictures of everybody at every game though and always has done. He should know the answer.
If I cant sort this highly technical photo issue I'll text you one up. Its not a great picture though. I think the original was Keirans though wasn't it. Its defo not one of mine.

Brilliant Rob.
(I read your piece in the FCUM programme under your nom-de-plume, "Ron Edmonds" last night...)
I recognise a few faces on the far rail in that pic. Salisbury (a)?
So we deffo wore it 1998/9, plus possibly 96/7 and 97/8.
That's enough to put a plaque on the framed shirt though.
Ace detective work all around.

We wore a white shirt too that was almost as bad as the tangerine effort we endured 10 years earier
