Curzon Ashton - Last Away Game

Post by CRH Yeltz » 07 Feb 2015, 21:07

This is a subject I've broached with a few of the forum regulars recently. Although its quite a while away, lets start thinking about doing something at Curzon for the last away game.

First off, we need to take as many as we can up to Manchester that day. We then need to flood the place with flags, baloons and tickertape (ripped up newspaper). Now we just need to pick a theme...

Basically, lets have a party up there and make it memorable. This is the thread to suggest the theme, all ideas welcome.

Some moons ago we used to pick themes for various away games. Togas, nuns, red Indians etc to name but a few. When everybody has a theme to work to more tend to get involved than just a general 'come as you please'. Fun will be had by all.
P.S. Wearing bed pans on heads with letters spelling out Halesowen Town F C has been done already.
Seriously....

My vote is to go dressed as any one of Trev, John and Kev Barry.

This has just got to be done hasn't it !? Will try and come up with a few ideas that haven't been done before, but a message has to be sent to the players and management, regardless of what happens the rest of the season, what a job they have all done. It will certainly be an enjoyable day and am excited already !

Last season Belper away was discussed as pirates I think. No one went as a pirate.

I like the idea of John and or Trevor masks. Simple should not be too expensive and easy to involve more people.

Theme sorted this afternoon. Spiderman! Homage to Trev.

So between now and April, get hold of Spiderman masks, t shirts, etc. Added to that plenty of blue balloons, newspaper to make into tickertape.

We need to make this daft, as Doc said to me at half time today, the nuns and monks day was the ultimate to date, lets emulate it...

Found a place online that does Spiderman Onesies for £11.99.

If anyone wants one, I'll add it to my order. Let me know what size you are, you can give me the cash when I see you.
