Stourbr*dge Boxing Day
Interesting reading on here:- http://glassboys.the-talk.net/t545-fc-united
Seems we're going to be segregated. Really any need for that? I hope we don't follow suit when FCUM and the number 9 lot pop down.........

Re: S*******dge Boxing Day
Ok everyone, hold on tight. I have a confession. I don't know how to say this but... ......iwenttostourbridgeonsaturday.
However, before my name is dragged through the mud and my profile deleted, I must quickly add that I went with an old friend who's an FC United fan and, furthermore, I've been sat in a bath full of bleach ever since.
On the point of the segregation though- it worked very well. The FC fans had the covered stand behind the one goal, and the use of the cricket pavilion. Presumably we'll have the same and if so, I'll have no complaints. Whether it prevented any trouble or not, we'll never know, but it was hardly like both sets of fans were clamouring at the barriers to get one another. In terms of volume, it seemed like it was all FC, and it seems that judging by the forum comments, they're a bit concerned that we could do likewise.
On the pitch, FC were very poor. Stourbr*dge deserved the points just about, but it wasn't a classic at all. Spent most the time checking the forum updates in Trafford (honest!

I've banned people for many things, "spamming", "abuse", "being Changey", but "treason" takes the biscuit.piearce9 wrote:Ok everyone, hold on tight. I have a confession. I don't know how to say this but... ......iwenttostourbridgeonsaturday.![]()

I've been told by one of their stewards that they're not segregating for our game with them. They segregated for the FCUM game because they were worried about alcohol being bought into the ground.

Re: S*******dge Boxing Day
There seems to be conflicting reports on the segregation issue. Personally, I think it would a shame, 90% of folk will go there with the intent of having a beer, supporting their team and coming home to turkey sandwiches with no problems. The downside of course is that I suppose a few folk who don't normally go might turn up as it is a local derby.
It would be great to get more Yeltzmen and women there than Sourbridge fans though wouldn't it?

Re: S*******dge Boxing Day
Bearing in mind we get the better, bigger covered stand behind the one goal, and our own bar in the pavilion, what's the negative to having it segregated?
Suppose if you prefer to watch from the halfway line then it's a mild shame, but people have been moaning on here that we should congregate, so it might help with the atmosphere/singing?
One month to go!

Re: S*******dge Boxing Day
Looking at their forum, looks like we won't have any trouble out singing their lot on boxing day.

We never have had a problem out singing them.
