The FA take a lot of clog, much of it justified, but that's a nice gesture.

Agreed. The two chaps there were friendly too. Especially when there is £1.5m worth of silver there!
Apparently the base is worth £4m hence why that never leaves Wembley.

Understandibly the normal public were not allowed to hold it.
However some of the club officials were allowed to hold it and I assume Iysden as I did not see the pitch photographic session was. Which is fair enough otherwise imagine the free for all if everyone was allowed to hold it.
Both the chaps looking after it were friendly and politely told people (probably for the 1,000 time) they could not touch it.
A nice gesture from the FA.
Although other than our club website, club photgrapher and individuals the press and TV have an embargo before they are suposed to reveal pictures and footage. I think someone said next Tuesday!
I did expect a bit more interest from the outside world, but they were probably on their playstations or watching soaps etc.

I can see now why these guys have been advised not to have their pictures taken with the cup.JohnC wrote: Both the chaps looking after it were friendly and politely told people (probably for the 1,000 time) they could not touch it.
Imagine if word got out that if you see these guys they usually have a nice chunk of silver with them.
