Tesfa Robinson joins the Yeltz
A central defender from Chasetown who has represented St.Kitts at International level.
With Robinson, Hull, Tilt and Kettle we're well blessed in this area, maybe JH sees one of them playing elsewhere in the team? Good luck Tesfa!

A strange signing this one. Defence is not something we lack in.

I agree an unusual one but nevertheless welcome to the Grove Tesfa and all the best!
In addition to the earlier comment, I know Joel Kettle can play in midfield as has done in other levels, albeit not as high and Joe Hull can probably do a job further up the field I reckon.

Don't forget Curtis Tilt played central midfield last week and did well too. It's certainly increasing JH's options and shows why it is a good thing to sign players who can play more than one position.

Why lost for words? Can't grasp that.
Makes sense, Tilt being pushed into midfield. A player John Hill had tracked for a long time who isn't cup tied.
John is reluctant to tweak things at the moment as most the players he would want are surely cup tied. I can see where he is coming from.

Even if we perhaps don't need players at the back, whoever we sign will provide competition for places, keep everyone on their toes and surely get the best of of everyone. Good luck Tesfa and welcome to Halesowen Town Football Club.

He scored the equaliser against us at the start of last year:

Good to have extra strength and depth.
If it means players moving positions, whilst versatility is useful, I'd be sceptical of using it too much as any rationale for the team set-up, as it can end up diluting the overall solution.

As the game is one of opinions and always those looking in from the outside without the detailed knowledge of being on the inside are keen to offer opinions (me too at games, on travels etc.) it is good to see John Hill explaining the rationale behind what fans have been saying or thinking since last nights announcement appeared to be a signing for the wrong end of the pitch.
As some of us have said before we are not that far away from getting the league wins and moving up the table. So a tweak or two is what was needed.
Lets ALL get behind the team.
I still think we have one of the best away following (not played FC Utd yet) in this league.
