Thanks Yeltz people

Good performance today in a game that after the excitement of last week it was probably hard to raise the players for, what worries me is a poor attendance (bearing in mind we took 350 to Belper). what happens next season when at a higher level avoiding relegation is the target? it really concerns how much Halesowen wants a football club at a decent level.

Moan over, it was a fitting end to an absolutely outstanding season, I just wonder if John Hill, Ben Hasely etc realise how many hangovers they are responsible for?

Debates about who is responsible and who we should thank for where we are tonight will rage over the next few months (hopefully years)But all I want to say tonight is THANK YOU to EVERYONE who has played even the smallest part in dragging this club off its arse.

The WHOLE Club, can pat itself on the back because IF we all pull TOGETHER there reallly can be a bright golden haze on the meadow. ;)

The crowd was a little lower than I expected today but it is Bank holiday weekend so maybe a few people were away? Next seasons average home average should increase as a few of the teams have good away followings - it may also include 'that lot down the road' if as it has been rumoured they transfer across to the Northern Premier.

That lot down the road should consider a transfer to the MFA now the biggest club under the Dudley Borough is back! #uptheYeltz

I expected a few more down there today if I'm honest, and if we're to get bigger gates down there next season we can't just let it be because the away team bring a few more fans.
I suppose a good starting point will be for people to get their season ticket applications in as soon as possible. If we could get a regular 500/550 Halesowen people there and then the away fans that will help.
How do we do that though? Have we got too many floating fans? Have too many of the supporters from years gone by just given up completely? Can we get them back? Or what can we all do to get more people down to Halesowen?

I'm not sure there should be too much concern about the crowd today. It was still nearly 20% above the season average for a match which ultimately didn't mean as much as a league game. Also only 5 teams in the Evostik Prem averaged more this season.

Factors involved also included a sunny day , a bank holiday weekend and Villa had a big game too.

Averaging between 400 and 500 next season will represent good upward progress.

Crowd - well as the loyal supporters did not hear about this shield match until at Belper and some people are adverse to internet and may not read the papers in full and already made plans for this weekend weeks ago.
I am not surprised with the level today.

I try everytime I bump into fans who used to come to encourage them to come back and we need new fans.
Perhaps if someone could take the trophy's around the local schools Windsor and Earls we could encourage some to come.
Maybe we could give the schools some vouchers for next season. 1 free game per voucher.

Maybe this seasons success will encourage more down the Grove when we kick off next season for proper.

Well we have the summer I guess to try and promote The Yeltz, perhaps the recent good times might go in our favour with the local press and if we tried to do a piece with them before the season kicks off, new challenge, supporters optimistic, most of the players still at club next season (hopefully) continuity, stability etc.

Quite a few people I know also went to a place called Molineux Yesterday too so that wouldn't have helped either.

I will be available for a few work parties too this season as I believe they are Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Why? Were they selling raw meat or giving away the cure for stiff necks (although that would probably be "don't go to the Molinuex")? ;)
