Congratulations
Hi All
On behalf of everyone from Belper congratulations on winning the league yesterday.
Many thanks for your kind words about the stewards, I was the steward behind the goal with you yesterday.
I can honestly say it was wonderful to stand amongst a bunch of loyal passionate supporters, you are real credit to yourselves, your team, club and town.
I love non league football and yesterday will last long in the memory for a very long time. To see so many grown men with tears in their eyes really brought a lump to my throat.
Enjoy basking in the glory of your achievement you deserve it. I hope we can meet up again one day soon.
All the very best.
Ian.

Re: Congratulations
Very kind of you to come on here and say that. We always try to do our club credit and i think we did so again yesterday. We are fortunate to have not attracted the sort of knuckle draggers some other clubs have over the years. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to your part of the world and wish you all the best in the play offs.

Thank you and all at Belper Town FC and also our hosts pre/post match at the Geogre & Draggon, the locals were all friendly and welcoming from the time we arrived in Belper until the time we left. You have a very good set up and the club deserves to progress. The stewarding of the occasion was spot on and a huge thank you to yourself for helping us enjoy the day. Best wishes in the play off.

I think you've got the folk of Halesowen wanting you to join us next season too. Good luck in the play offs.Btfc wrote:Hi All

Is what non-league is all about.
Thank you for that Ian, you showed a lot of discretion and common sense and you looked like you were enjoying yourself.
You were very kind to me (white cap, plastic glass) and out of a very hazy day I remember how ace you were.
Even though it may sound biased because of the result Belper is my fave place, you're a credit to the club.
Hopefully see you next season.

Thank you Belper for a great day out. Just one thing - It wasn't the best idea to store what I understand is the metalwork for flood defences in the gents toilet. This reduce the capacity to 'one -at-a -time'. Not the best for an expected larger than usual crowd. Small moan - Great day. Thanks
