I honestly can't wait for this! I was bouncing around my hotel on Monday when I heard Coalville lost. Since I'm a relatively new fan this is by FAR the biggest game I'm going too. I intend on making a hell of a lot of noise and making it a day to remember. As for the numbers if we take 200 I'll be disappointed. I've already convinced 10 friends and family to come! This will be one of the biggest games in our history, I can't wait! I'll see you all on the 11:18 train

'We want to win. We don't want to see a team celebrate the title but we also want to protect our better players for more important games.'

I take it as a hint their manager may rest a few players and experiment a little.

Either way I still fully expect a tough game.

I think you'll see them play their strongest XI for an hour out of respect for the other teams in the league and then with half an hour to go maybe bring off the likes off Froggatt et al. This game will never be won in the first hour but the last half an hour will be key. If it's 0-0 or 1-1 with 20 minutes to go then fine, we have to give ourselves the chance to win the game in the last 20 minutes. Players like Danks and Guyes might well have a huge part to play coming from the bench.
Irrespective of the side they put out we can expect a tough game, but we have the players to do it. Even if they don't, we know it won't be through lack of effort.

I think playing so called reserves would be tougher than their usual suspects.

The regulars may well go in with an attitude of 'I'm assured of my place for the play off game. I won't give Halesowen an easy time, but I'm not risking injury'.

Whereas non-regular players will have an attitude of 'I want to start Tue/Wed, I'm working my tits off to prove I'm good enough'.

Very tough game, but in a way playing such a tough side may well be to our advantage. We know and expect a tough game and the players heads will be very much focused on the task in hand.

Whereas playing a dead rubber side with nothing to play for may cause a lackadaisical attitude, maybe.

It’s meant to p*ss it down all day today and tomorrow, but as we know, we have the cream of the crop, the bees knees, the dogs bo***cks , the Meadow! Fortunately TOFCITW (The Oldest Football Club In The World) are away, as there would be more chance of plaiting fog than that match going ahead!

I have no idea why I’m really up for this match but strangely I really am. 2 very solid sides going in with blistering form. Lets look at the facts:

In the last 8 combined, both sides have won all 8 with Belper just edging ahead with 5 more scored. Fine margins I’m sure you’ll agree.

Breaking tomorrows game down into home and away form over the last 4, Belper are top of the home form charts with 9 points, 11 for and 1 against. Interestingly Halesowen are top of the away form (Nailers second) with 12 points, 13 for, 5 against.

There is also an added dynamic for tomorrows game. Regardless of the result Belper are stuck in 4th place. Realistically a draw will not be enough for Halesowen, as you would expect Coalville to do a job on Chasetown and the goal difference is 23 in Coalvilles favour. If Coalville don’t win and Belper win, Leek will win the league with 3 points as they already have a 10 goal advantage over Halesowen. So, do Belper rest players, hoping the 2 missing out will be deflated, or have a real go at it? Halesowen could easily finish 3rd and it will give us the psychological advantage in the semi final. Duffield isn’t one to back down from a fight though, so I believe it could be a bloodbath. Interestingly though, the pitch could have a real bearing on the game too. It could be a scrappy affair which I think we’ll relish. We just don’t need any injuries or suspensions but that’s the risk you take.

My prediction: It could literally be anything if you look at the facts, but I have complete faith in the Nailers. Halesowen form, F 11, A 5 or per game F 2.75, A 1.25. They have been leaking goals and we’re running riot atm. I’m going 3-2 Froggy, Wells, and Ward. In the ‘WWF’ we trust!

Another thing to consider, Leek and Coalville will give their all physically and mentally - not just for the title but for the coveted second spot and home advantage.

Should your players and management decide to have rest, get the deckchairs (umbrellas) out then you will go into the play offs fully rested and 'fresh' where as Leek and Coalville (us - touch wood that's not the case) will (you'd think)will be firstly mentally 'beaten' following missing out, and secondly physically spend after giving their all on the final day and over the course of 40 (41) games.

Very interesting dynamics here.

I always feel what ever team or what ever the situation, if you've got nothing to mathematically play for it sort of holds you back in comparison to when a team has something on the line. I certainly hope it's the case.
