Back to the original point...

Whilst it is only right that the defenders get acknowledgement for their defensive work, it should be mentioned that we very much defend 'from the front'. Ben doesn't give defenders a second on the ball and does some of Isedyn's defensive running. Over the course of the season Tonksy, Macca, Jinna and more recently Forde press the ball really well in the middle of the pitch. Add to this the tracking back that Griffiths and Turner have done from wide positions you can see clearly that defending isn't just the responsibility of the chosen back four. Credit must also be given to Sargeant as well who has played his part.

Just for the record I agree that 'defence starts from the forward line'. Wasn't my intention to give the team (as a whole) a lack of credit for our defensive record!

For the record, we have kept 21 clean sheets this season in all comps. 19 league. BUT in fact we have kept 18 league clean sheets now that the Eastwood result has been expunged so therefore now 20 in total. Just the same as Leek Towns -3 points are now not included due to the ineligible player.
