Yeltz Chants!

Post by elissakat3 » 17 Mar 2014, 12:39

I first visited The Grove about 3 or 4 years ago. It was against Bedford Town (or Bedworth.....) and Halesowen won. Nick Bussey played a blinder in goal from what I remember! After that game I became a Halesowen Town fan and I've have been to a number of games, including away at Sutton Coldfield Town this season. During that first visit to The Grove, I heard a chant of "Oh Halesowen, is wonderful...Its full of chips, curry and Yeltzmen" etc, etc. But I no longer hear it whenever I come down. Is it not sung anymore?

Never noticed that song myself in the 3 years I've been supporting but if that song existed it should be brought back! Sounds like a cracking chant for us lot to sing

I love a good curry.

Personal preference is Bangla!

It would be good to get some chants going for the players... maybe others could share ideas?

He's big, he's blue, his shorts are bigger than you, Christieeee, Christie...Not sure if it'll be taken as support, it's certainly intended that way.

Also as much as I'd prefer to sing unique songs about our players, I'd prefer to sing generic rubbish than nothing, just to get support going.

'Joe Hull, there's only one Joe Hull'.

If we do resort to generic chants, then literally sing through the whole team...i.e start with Sarge, then Green, then Joe etc then end with HALESOWEN, HALESOWEN, HALESOWEN...

Just a thought.

Any noise and support is better than no noise and no support.

Really do feel want to get behind players individually as well as, as a team.
