Had to raise this question because it has been niggling at the back of my mind for some time. Suppose Eastwood Town definitely resign from the league and our home game against them in April will be unplayable (which looking very likely judging by some of the points made on this forum). This- obviously- means that we would have 41 league games instead of 42.
If Coalville have played and defeated Eastwood home and away, then this would give them a very unfair 3-point advantage. I was wondering if anybody knew how would the league work around this? I imagine the fair, reasonable way would be to deduct the points from the teams that have earned those points against Eastwood. For example, if Coalville won 6 points from Eastwood then they would have 6 points deducted as it would level the field for those teams who are yet to play their second league fixture against Eastwood (such as us).
So like I said, does anybody know the rules for this kind of event? Or, even better, an example of this situation? (Even though we almost became an example of this)

All results from games played with Eastwood, for all clubs will be 'expunged' - I think that is the correct terminology.

Re: Eastwood Town and the league
According to previous posts I seem to remember that all the top teams Coalville, Us Leek and Belper had all played once and won. So there would be no change in positions for withdrawing points in Eastwood games.
