Personally I'd like to see a Saturday off to freshen the squad up, not because of Ben not being here - with the biggest respect to Ben, as brilliant as he is I think we're more than capable of getting a win when he's not playing.

He helps massively, of course he does. But I have faith in the squad as a whole and feel we have enough to win without Ben.

Our midfielders have chipped in with a fair few goals this year. Without looking at stats McKenzie, Lait, Turner and Gueyes have all scored more than once this year?

As well as Christie and Penny all making contributions.

In retrospective... This may not be a bad thing. Away form has been very good this season, touch wood. Normally what happens at the end of the season no matter what league you are in the pressure is when you play at home. Hopefully we can play freely with no pressure away from home if we are pushing for something.

After week on Tuesday Kidsgrove league cup away we are back to Saturdays only.

Also when the bad weather comes we will have some re-arranged fixtures no doubt to fit in next year.

I think (selfishly) we should try and re-arrange a game for that Saturday home or away. As I am unfortunately going to have to miss Scarborough and the following Saturday. Imagine 3 Saturdays and Tuesdays without a game!

We already have two home games to re-arrange Coalville and Belper and only one empty Saturday in February. So as I say expect some Tuesday fixtures next March \ April.

John C ... As we approach the pantomime season.......Oh no they aren't ;)

That said I find it hard to keep up with the fixtures on the NPL site, so who are Gresley playing now on the 16th ?

With Scarborough winning their Trophy replay, Sheffield's was postponed, Bedworth becomes a possibility on Nov 16 as they are down to play Scarborough on that day.
