Attendances

Post by Yeltzbaby » 16 May 2025, 04:15

This surely must be the heyday for non league attendances, never before have crowds been so consistently big throughout the non league pyramid.

65 clubs average over 1000. Incredible. Yes I know there are now circa 15/20 ex football league clubs but still it's great to see people turning out to support there local clubs.

Play off attendances throughout the pyramid have been quite remarkable. E.g Evesham 3000, Hednesford I think nearly 5000, and so on. Long may it continue

So many people are disillusioned with the Pro game. As long as having bigger crowds in non league doesn't bring all the 'baggage' that these people are trying to get away from, then that's fine. I suspect that many of the National League games are ' non league' in name only now. Not sure I would want us to play at that level.
