Back in early 1984 two of my work colleagues were members of the Halesowen Town Committee and they persuaded me to come along and watch a match. From arriving for a pre-match drink in the Yeltz bar I was drawn into the club. Over the years I helped out whenever I could especially during the close season helping on the ground. My daughter grew up coming to matches with me and when she was old enough she helped out especially on match days. Over the years we travelled the length and breadth of the country following Halesowen Town.
Over 33 years I've seen the good times of promotion and two visits to Wembley, the bad times of relegation, the reign of those that should not be mentioned and the "ladder matches" but I'm afraid enough is enough. Until the current management team and administration are gone no longer will I watch Halesowen Town home or away.
