Thank You

Post by Belpernailer » 06 May 2014, 18:09

Hi guys

A quick thank you to your Sheila Bradley for sending us (Belper Town FC) a good luck card for the play-offs.

Shiela thanked us for our hospitality on the final day of the season and for the arrangements made for your visit.

It is such a surprise to receive good luck messages nowadays but I guess that we should not have been too surprised given the fantastic and well behaved support that followed your team to Belper on that glorious day.

Thanks Sheila and best of luck to the Yeltz next season (I hope this is in the NPL)

As a Yeltz fan, can I also say thanks to Sheila for that. What a nice thing to do.

It appears that we have built up a wonderful rapport with Belper, particularly their members of this forum. Long may it continue. Its what sport especially non-league football should be about. Remember our days and friendship with Merthyr Tydfil when we used to play a supporters football match and darts match before the main match. Well perhaps we could reprise this. Any ideas anyone( John Stokes ) ? - thats if we play them next season .

I hope very much we are in the same league next season. If we are we will have to sort out meeting up pre match for beer, pub games, etc.
I know the fans of Belper would be well up for it.

Yes I am sure a few of us would be up for that Btfc.
In fact I have been in touch with your club Secretary David Laughlin this afternoon to suggest the very same.
He returned my video accessories in the post today which I lost at the game.
He does not want to accept the postage fees so a beer will have to do instead.
Thanks David - your gesture sums up all that is good about non league football !

Looking forward to Belper next season, and I love the idea of a pre-match meeting in the George and Dragon. Everybody catching the train again?

Sending a well done card is the last thing I'd have thought of doing. A simple tweet is what I offered! :)

Very good image for the club!

Lovely touch Sheila ! Long may the good relationship between Belper and ourselves continue. Love that George and Dragon pub too.
