Not a bad ground, but an out of the way soulless place for me is Clevedon.

Yes, it's strange how sometimes the town can be really quite pleasant in comparison to the ground. Clevedon is a good example of that.
Welling wasn't great, though obviously they're in the National League so have upgraded somewhat though you can still get a view of the action from the bus.

There are some poor ones in our local area, but as has been said, it may be unfair to judge given the level some play at

Sandwell Borough on the Birmingham New Road. The running track was so wide the players took a taxi to the pitch!

The joys were all the more enhanced by the delightful Alf Bowerman.

The mention of Clevedon brings the memory of the match when Big Ron was in the dugout. In the 2nd half the rain was driving horizontal across the pitch and up from the coast.

They were Ashtree Highfield when we played them in the FA Cup in 1987 at home and away (replay) then in the league in 1988/89 season. By 1989/90 they were Sandwell Borough.
Can anyone remember the 1988 Boxing Day match at their ground? Was it John Rhodes who got sent off or at least punched one of their players? I'm getting confused with Sean Flynn chasing John Chambers ....

Spot on Chas. Apart from Flynny didn't do the chasing, he was been kicked off the park. That was the spark that lit the touchpaper. Very funny shenanigans.

As general category - "identikit new grounds" which are sterile and soul-less.

Telford and Forest Green (when used by Gloucester) come to mind. Although mitigating factors would be the house bricks thrown by the locals at Telford and the hot air balloon scraping the disused stand at Forest Green.
