Re: Alty Updates
Good effort from the lads that. On another day the woodwork might not have got in the way a couple of times and then who knows. Aside from that a win all round for the club. 1200+ through the gates, hopefully some TV money and a good advert for the club. We must have come out of it looking very professional. Talking of which what a class act the gaffer is, applauding the Alty fans as well at the end. Spoke to a few Alty fans during the afternoon and they seemed quite impressed. Good fans, wish them well for a good run. And now on to the Trophy....

Re: Alty Updates
Was a bit weird watching live on the TV, and definitely spotted a few of you in the crowd.
The better team won, but if just one of those chances that hit the post had gone in it would have been a different story.
Also weird was the commentator reading out a tweet from Yeltz fan “Andy from Valencia”, but I have no idea who that could have been from.

Our manager is a class act full stop. What a welcome change it is to have a classy representative of the club.andy wrote: ↑05 Oct 2019, 15:30Good effort from the lads that. Re: Alty Updates
I thought we deserved a draw and the football was so much better than we have been used to in the last few seasons. Our forwards gave them problems all day and apart form the woodwork the keeper pulled off a few good saves.
Interestingly, coming away, some Altrincham fans were saying they didn't think that the best team had won, so that's also a measure of the level today.

I believe each club gets £2K from the BBC.

Re: Alty Updates
Seems a bit paltry. Still £2K more than we would have had I suppose.

Just watched the first half back. Loved one of the possibilities given for the 'Yeltz' origin was ex Hungarian player calling for the ball. Have you been sending the beeb 30 year old copies of the fanzine Poll?
