Platt's behaviour at the end was appalling. First the ridiculous over reaction and then the gesticulating to their fans at full time. Also, should our physio really be arguing with their fans towards the end of the game? I don't think that's acceptable.

A few of our 'fans' though are a disgrace. Firstly the hypocrisy of certain posters. Yes it was a penalty in the first half but was the abuse of the referee thereafter justified? And then the abuse of the poor kid who evidently had a bad injury in the second half. The jeering and comments were genuinely disgusting. Yes the shed might have applauded him off but look at the behaviour of a few before that. Sickening. I've seen people jeer injured players before at the Grove and it always astonishes me.

The plus was the introduction of Ashley which turned the game. It was a good second half after a non-descript first half apart from the penalty incident.

I have to agree about Platt. What on earth was he doing? ! It was a quite ridiculous and embarrassing over-reaction writhing around, and the obscene gesture to the Ilkeston fans at the final whistle showed he had made a rapid recovery and should have earned him a red.

Yes, I'm amazed Platt wasn't sent off for foul and abusive language towards the referee before the gestures. A stupid few minutes from him. Terrible

You might as well have not bothered with the half-hearted "well done" bit at the start, as we all know you just want to crack on with the moaning. But I notice you've managed to restrain yourself to just two mentions of "abuse" and just a smattering of "disgusting" and "appalling", so it seems that you're less offended than usual.

The ref's total uselessness in the first half meant that we went in at half time drawing instead of winning. He was affecting the result. I don't blame Matt and John for making that perfectly clear, and I guess many other supporters were keen to do likewise. (To put it into your musical terms, if you were playing a different tune to everyone else, then I'm sure your fellow musicians would want to tell you that in the interval, right?) And guess what, the ref was a totally different character in the second half and when Denny flopped to the ground in the box, he was always going to take the opportunity to even things out. That's how football works.

It was a very efficient performance today and there were lots of encouraging individual efforts. All the eleven (plus subs) did a good job, and that's a really crucial three points ahead of a tough set of fixtures. Well done .

And can you explain the abuse towards their poor injured player? Is that acceptable?

Yet when people said anything about the players there was uproar. It's all the same, whether it's at the players, referees etc.

My well done was genuine. I have absolutely no problem with what John Hill did today, he had a good day and the team deservedly won. If we could somehow play like that every week then I'd soon change my mind. However, certain fans didn't have a good day and it's not good to see

Whilst I agree re Platty's behavior/language at the end I must disagree with yeltz 27 re Rob the physio. I was walking out of the ground with my 10 year old grandson and the fans in question -aged 60+ were hurling abuse towards Rob and were totally out of order; . I asked them to behave and was met by a torrent of abuse and bad language . It would be easy to say Rob shouldn't have reacted but everyone has their breaking point.

He's on about John C who is a hypocrite.
Anyway on to important matters. A big improvement in the second half today, which should hopefully inspire confidence for the forthcoming games. The first half was so dire I was unsure either side could resurrect the game, but full credit to the lads for proving me wrong. Clarke looks like he could prove a real handful and others seemed to respond to the upping of the tempo. All in all well done lads.
