How seriously do the club take this competition in terms of prioritising? It would be great to go away to Dourbridge in the next round. I assume the Wolves side will be a mixture of youth/reserve players?

This and the league cup are never taken seriously by any clubs. We are obliged to enter our local senior cup, as are all the other teams in the area. We used to enter the Staffs and Worcester senior cups as well but they took thier toll on players for little or no reward. No it wouldn't be great to go to Stour either. They would beat us on current form and believe me that's demoralising, and its a shithole, and we'll have to put up with them coming on here telling us how great they are. Wolves will bring an academy team.

I agree with your points Andy, I guess it depends on which way you look at it, the league is obviously the priority but if we could handle a cup run as well then I think it would keep our peckers up ! Am only saying this as I really enjoyed it a few years ago when we had a trip to Kiddy in the final of the Worcester Senior Cup I believe it was, we lost 2-0 when Matty Clarke was manager. As I said though the league is the priority and if we do get knocked out to Wolves then it wouldn't be so bad.

Thanks for that Andy, with Stourbr*dge due to play a 1st round (and most likely a 2nd round) FA Cup tie they'll not be concentrating too hard on this cup and a league campaign surely? I thought we we're the better side when we played them pre-season so it may work in our favour possibly? Whilst the league seems to be the priority I'd like to think we won't be thinking 'Premier League' where finishing 4th is worth more to us than a trophy in the cabinet. I guess we need to beat Wolves first and then worry afterwards. Winning breeds confidence so let's hope we can pull off a victory.
