We'll know if our ploy has been rumbled if the opposition manager shouts "Just sit on the number 10"andy wrote:I don't think the bench will be much good. Not very agile, a bit wooden.......JohnC wrote:

But if he shouts "Just go and sit on the number 9" we will know that the player has signed for Stourbr*dgeandy wrote: We'll know if our ploy has been rumbled if the opposition manager shouts "Just sit on the number 10"

Change from my earlier post no mention of wood!
After last night.
John Hill and management team NEED to change things NOW if another October curse is not to happen.
Need to see some more players in.
Gueyes needs to play for Causeway or Tipton (if they would be so kind) to gain match fitness and confidence back.
Now Penny has (wrongly) been sent off we will I assume need more options when Ben is away.
Last night could only manage 4 on the bench 1 keeper, 2 defenders and only 1 to make a difference up front.
How a few days and a couple of matches can change ones opinion.

I think you should note the amount of games we've had recently. We seem to be playing every Tuesday and then the following Saturday atm, take Leek they haven't played as many games as us. It will show, and presume did?
Then consider our squad, we've had injuries all season which hasn't helped.
Just think the glut of fixtures and unfortunate injuries has finally caught up with us this month. Now we're out the two FA competitions, maybe we'll get a bit of a rest.
I also don't think losing to a team the division up, the league leaders and a team 1,000 miles away and to a shocking ref decision is the end of the world.
I think we need some back up for the forward positions but I certainly don't think it's as bad as it appears?

Not forgetting the budget of most teams in this league puts us mid table if there was such thing as a financial league table, so we're well above where we should be at this stage. Win Saturday and we'll still be above 2 points a game.

Re: It occurs to me
I meant to say in my original post within the means of the budget obviously. Basically what it boils down to is if John Hill and the management team are of the opinion that we need to strengthen following last night's result and our recent run then I'm sure they will. Conversely if they feel we do not need to strengthen then they won't. I feel whatever happens it will be the right decision and we will get the right players in if we need to. It will be interesting to see what happens if it is felt anything needs to be done.HalesowenHarry wrote:Not forgetting the budget of most teams in this league puts us mid table if there was such thing as a financial league table, so we're well above where we should be at this stage.
